OK ITS BEEN A MONTH HERE IS THE FIRST HALF OF MY JOSEI FAVORITES!!! :
In no particular order here are my favorite (PG-13) josei manga :
Princess jellyfish
This is my ultimate beginner Josei recommendation, no NSFW, a good message, and INTERESTING AND WEIRD FEMALE CHARACTERS!!!! HOORAY!!!
The plot focuses on Tsukimi who is currently living with a group of women all with varying undiagnosed autism special interests (three kingdoms, trains, kimono sewing, etc etc) and in their house the rules to live there are :
no fashionable/trendy people
no men
anyways guess who Tsukimi finds and takes back to the house with her? A fashionable man who dresses in women's clothes.
So she simply starts a fashion brand with said fashionable man and her fellow housemates to create fashion that includes "unstylish" people like Tsukimi and her housemates. (as one does)
Lots of interesting things to say about the fashion industry and womenhood along with having passions and special interests!!! go read it!!!
Sanju Mariko (Mariko at 80)

HERE IS BEAUTIFUL OLD WOMAN!!!
Sanju Mariko is about a veteran manga author (Mariko) who is currently in her 80s. She lives with 3 generations of her family while still working actively in the manga industry, until she decides to move out on her own after walking in on her family discussing renovating the home she built with her now deceased husband.
The manga focuses on Mariko learning to see life in new ways since moving out while also dealing with her own looming mortality. And also theres a cat. as seen in the volume cover.
^ This page hits so aggressively as someone who has to depend on others for medical reasons, like i read this and i had to stop because i was going to scream SHE GETS IT!!!!
