This picture makes so sad for this little girl but also makes me smile that the kitty can bring comfort to her world.

Based on the acclaimed Broadway play by Ira Levin, Critic's Choice stars Bob Hope as a sharp-tongued New York drama critic whose objectivity is tested when his wife, played by Lucille Ball, writes her first Broadway play. Trading her familiar television antics for a more sophisticated romantic comedy, Ball is effortlessly charming, stylish, and wonderfully understated, proving once again that her talents extended far beyond I Love Lucy.

While the film wasn't a major box-office hit, it has become an underrated gem, buoyed by the sparkling chemistry between Hope and Ball and a witty script that affectionately skewers the world of Broadway critics and theatre. It's one of Lucille Ball's most overlooked screen performances, and one of my personal favorites.

This scene made me feel so sad for her, no one deserves to be treated in this way. I was watching this with my grandsons not long ago and I told them never to act in this way to someone that truly could use a helping hand and support. Always be kind.
