Billie had never been a super clingy person.She loved physical touch and had always been super affectionate but she never came across as clingy but recently I feel as though she’s attached to my hip.Im in our kitchen quietly humming along to the music coming from the TV as I cook me and Billie vegan burritos.
I jump slightly as I feel a pair of hands slither around my waist from behind “you scared me”I giggle . She hums contently as she rests her head against my back “you hungry?”I say as I stir the contents in the pan .She just nods as she nuzzle her head now into the crook of my neck “did you end up having a nap this morning?”I hum as I plate up our food “mhm”she whispers as she plants a soft kiss on my neck. “I’ve missed you”she whispers.
“I know works had my ass recently”I agree as I begin to plate up our food . She peppers soft kisses on my neck “cmon sit down let’s eat”I smile as we sit down and I put the plate in front of her at the other end of the table. “Can I sit next to you?”she says softly . I give her a look but non the less I move her plate next to me .
She comes and sits next to me as she continues to eat her food her head rested on my shoulder “are you okay baby?”I whisper as I scratch her scalp softly . She nods as she finishes up eating “promise?”I say “yeah”she whispers as she kisses my cheek quickly then gets up and clears our plates.
Me and Billie eventually settle down on the couch she’s laid buried into my chest as I run my finger up and down her spine. “B?”I whisper “you sureeee you’re okay?”I add softly as I continue my movements “just stressed with the album and shit”she hums as she watches tv.
“Take a few days off”i reply as i brush her blonde hair out her face “i can’t too much planning for tour “she huffs “Billie “I say . She looks up at me “you deserve it “I whisper as I kiss her forehead . She just shrugs and gives me a look of hesitance “I’ll call Finneas and let him know now cmhere”I smile as my grip around her tightens.

By the time you went back to school, the pogues already knew everything that happened. Sarah was disappointed in the girl she considered a friend who actually ended up being an attempted home wrecker. Bianca was left friendless after that.
"Mrs. Maybank," JJ offers his hand to help you out of the Twinkie like the gentleman he is. You giggle and take his hand as you exit the van. You were still giddy about the fact that you were married. It may not be legal but you still considered it official.
"I still can't believe you guys got married," Kie states.
"I just couldn't wait any longer," JJ says as he wraps his arms around you and kisses you. As you and the group walk across the parking lot, you spot Bianca's car. You and the rest of the pogues glare her down as she gets out of her shiny vehicle.
If looks could kill, she'd be long gone. "Ass," you say loud enough for her to hear when you pass her.
"I heard that!" She shouts at you.
You stop in your tracks and turn to face her. "Oh I hope you did! Cuz you made a big mistake trying to cross me!"
"You think you scare me?" She scoffs, crossing her arms in an attempt to look tough.
"You should be...bitch!" Bianca's hand slaps you across your cheek. Your head whips to the side and the pogues rush over to defend you but you stop them. "Oh you're in for it now-" you punch her in the face and shove her against her car.
"Think you could kiss my boyfriend and then slap me?!" You yell at her as you continue to punch her in the face and gut. She was trying to shove you away but it was no use.
"Y/n! Y/n, stop it!" JJ pulls you away from the girl. "Not here okay?" He tells you as he straightens out your hair since it was all in your face now. You huff but reluctantly nod. He was right, the school parking lot wasn't the best place to beat the shit out of her. Although you really wanted to continue.
You look at Bianca over JJ's shoulder, she was holding her bleeding nose. "You just got yourself kicked out of Kildare, Watson!" You threaten.
Bianca chuckles but winces, "I'm not scared of you Y/n, this doesn't change that. I have connections." She raises her eyebrows as if that was supposed to scare you.
"I have more." You try to give a petty smile but slightly wince when you feel a cut. You lick your lip and taste blood. Seems like that bitch got at least one or two hits in during that fight.
"You're bleeding," he gestures to the cut on your lip and another one on your cheek. "Lemme clean you up" He picks up your bag that you dropped and begins walking you to the closest bathroom.
"I'm gonna take her to the bathroom, you guys head to class." He tells the pogues. Bianca is left with her hair a mess and a few cuts and bruises on her face. You were satisfied, but not enough to let her get away that easily.

After cleaning the cuts on your lip and cheek, JJ stays between your legs where you're sitting on the counter. "You know I hate you getting into fights, but I gotta admit, that was pretty fucking hot. I love seeing you defend yourself. Such a badass." He looks at you with so much admiration as he speaks.
You softly laugh but it it quickly fades away. You look down at your hands which have already started to bruise. JJ, of course, notices your mood shift. "What's wrong?"
"It wasn't just for me JJ," You look up at him and take a deep breath. "It was for you too." His eyebrows furrow and you continue, "she sexually assaulted you. You were trapped and couldn't do anything." Your voice cracked as you thought about how scary that must've been for him.
"Baby it's okay-" He holds your face as he tries to reassure you but you weren't having it. You knew he didn't like making a fuss over things but you didn't care. He was your husband and you wanted him to be safe.
"No it's not okay! She shouldn't have done that! You were just trying to earn some money and she took advantage of you. I couldn't let her get away with it, I won't let her get away with it." Your eyes were teary but JJ was quick to wipe them away, though he started tearing up as well.
"I was so scared. My body wouldn't move and she was so close, I felt like I couldn't breathe. But when her lips touched mine, it woke something in me. All I could think about was how wrong it felt and all I wanted was to be safe with you." His voice broke as he spoke. Tears fell from his eyes and he felt his heart hurting. He went to rub his chest but you were quicker.
"I'll make sure she'll never go near you ever again JJ." You lean your forehead on his and stroke his cheeks after wiping his tears away. He looks at you with so much love. He's in total disbelief that this amazing, beautiful angel is his wife. The woman he'll be spending the rest of his hopefully no longer fucked up life with.
"I love you so much baby," he brings you in for a long kiss. "What are you gonna do to her?" He asks when he pulls away.
"You'll see," you smirk, "like I said, I have connections."

After school, you're getting ready to meet the pogues at the beach. This week has been rough and you desperately needed to have fun with your friends.
You walk out of the bathroom wearing a red swimsuit. Immediately, JJ sits up from your bed and ogles you.
You walk over to your vanity mirror and begin tying your hair up. JJ gets up from your bed and walks up behind you, grabbing ahold of your waist to pull you closer. "You look hot Mrs. Maybank. Spicy, just how I like it," he seductively bites his lip.
You softly laugh at him and gently slap his shoulder once your hair is tied back. "You're such a dork," you pull him to your lips and he immediately melts like always.
Your kiss is interrupted by harsh banging on your front door and frantic ringing of the doorbell. "The hell?" You say confused, JJ has the same expression.
When you open the door, you see a very angry Bianca. She was fuming, you swear you saw steam coming out of her ears and her face turning red. You expected this though. She also had a big ass bandage over her nose, turns out you actually broke it.
"Oh look J, it's Voldemort," you joke and JJ laughs.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?!" She angrily shouts at you.
"Is that what you ask yourself everyday?" You retort. JJ tries not to laugh but ultimately fails.
"You are going to pay for what you did to me!" Bianca shouts, gesturing to her nose.
"I highly doubt that, I told you you shouldn't have crossed me and you didn't listen. But, if you don't leave Kildare High, I will do so much worse."
Bianca crosses her arms over her chest to look tough, she didn't. She scoffs, "I'm not scare-"
"I know you tried to fuck the mayor's son in your old town."
Bianca's eyes widen in fear. "Wha- how did you-"
"I also know that they got a restraining order against you and that's why you had to move. Would hate if that happened again." Bianca stood there, trembling in fear.
All you could was smile, "A family friend of mine is a private investigator. Now.. if you don't leave Kildare High, I will tell all of the Outer Banks how much of a crazy psycho you are and your life in the Outer Banks will be destroyed." You end the sentence with a fake smile, the same kind she gave you the first day you two met.
She was fuming but you could tell she was scared. She lifts her arm up as if she were to slap you again. "Hit me, I dare you. We both know how that ended last time." You gesture to her nose. "Now get off my fucking property." You point to the street.
She huffs and storms off the porch and back into her car. There's a visible dent from where you shoved her. "Byeeee bitch!" You and JJ yell as you both hold up your middle fingers.
As soon as she sped away, you closed the door and turned back to JJ. His eyes were wide. He was confused as fuck but very impressed. "She tried to fuck the mayor's son?!" You laughed at the look on his face.
"There's a lot more where that came from"
"Oh my god, do tell." He sits down on the couch with a huge grin, totally forgetting about meeting up with your friends. He spoke as if he were a teenage girl responding to juicy gossip. And hour had passed and you finally finished telling him everything you learned.
"Shit, remind me not to cross you baby girl."
"I would probably just punish you with no sex for a month," you smile mischievously at him.
His eyes widen, "Yeah! Definitely not crossing you."
You laugh and look at the time on your phone. "Shit, we were supposed to meet the group an hour ago!" You pull JJ from the couch and drive over to the beach.
"Finally! Lemme guess, you two were fucking?" John B exclaims.
"Actually no, we were having gossip girl time." You say matter of factly.
"It was good gossip too. Tell them baby." You roll your eyes and tell everything again but to the Pogues. They were all heavily invested, even JJ, as if he didn't hear it all 20 minutes ago.

1 week later
After the questions and laughter surrounding the drama calmed down, everything went back to normal. It was almost as if Bianca never existed to the group.
You sat in between JJ's legs on the porch couch of the Chateau. With your eyes closed, you enjoy the sound of JJ's laughter while he talked to John B, his scent filling your senses, and his warmth surrounding your body.
"Did you know that Bianca is dating Topper now?" Sarah randomly mentions. After you threatened her, Bianca left Kildare High and transferred to Kook Academy where she truly belongs.
"Huh, a rich bitch with a rich asshole," JJ states.
"A match made in heaven," you say with your eyes still closed. The group agree and fall right back into their previous conversation, except JJ doesn't join in.
Instead, he brings you closer to his chest and starts placing kisses on your shoulder, neck, and cheek.
"I love you JJ Maybank," you whisper. You bring one of his hands up to your mouth to kiss it. The same hands that have been through numerous fights. More than an 18 year old boy should even go through. But they heal from the trauma each time, just like the amazing boy embracing you.
He would take a thousand beatings if it meant he could hold you in his arms in the end.
He kisses your hands which are almost completely healed. "I love you two Y/n Maybank," he lowers your hands to kiss your lips. You smile to yourself at the new title.

I'm working behind the counter as I watch JJ pick out some surf gear "You're staring"my co-worker Leah chimes in "Hm what?"I say as I snap out of my train of thought. She just laughs and continues to stock shelves.
JJ had been coming into the store almost every day for the last few weeks buying random shit like surf wax or a new shark necklace. He comes up to the counter "Just them please" he says as he looks at me with a smile "You've been coming here a lot recently"I giggle with a smile "Surf season coming up good waves and shit I gotta prepare" he replies with a cheesy grin.
I round up his items "fifteen dollars fifty"I say as I open the register "fuck I've only got 10 hold em' for me ?I'll come back to pay for the rest" he replies as he looks through his pockets embarrassment painted on his face."you're good"I say with a small smile "what?"he says looking up “don't worry about it take it as my discount"I say "oh-Thankyou so much"he says with a warm smile as I give him his stuff and he leaves the surf shop.

“You sure I look okay Ames?”I say in an unsure tone to my best friend Amy as I look in the mirror pulling my dress down and doing what I can to make myself feel more comfortable in the short skin tight material “bitch you look so fucking good” she says as she stares back at me through the reflecting in the mirror.
“don’t worry JJ will love it” she adds with a teasing grin. I give her an unimpressed look through the mirror “I fucking hate the fact I like him” I reply as I brush out the curls in my hair “Can’t help true love” she says with the same teasing grin still painted on her face.
Me and Amy finish up getting ready and head to the boneyard. As we walk onto the sand the sweet smell of alcohol and weed fills my senses. We go over to the keg and fill up our cups. As I look around grasping my surroundings I lock eyes with a familiar blonde boy standing with his usual group of friends wearing his signature grey cargo shorts and black tank top. I immediately look away and turn back to Amy.
“are u even listening?”she scoffs “I-yeah”I reply my tone sounding a lot more unsure than I intended “girl go over there”she grins as she follows my gaze to JJ “No way shut up”I respond with an eye roll.
Somehow throughout the night me and Amy had migrated around the bomb fire with JJ and his group of friends just laughing and talking to each other the alcohol taking slight effect slowly but surely. Me and Jj keep catching each other’s eyes but I ignore it and keep talking to other people surrounding us.

I get up and go back over to the keg to fill up my cup. Amy jogs over to me “You okay?” she says scanning my face for a signal of how I feel “What? oh yeah, all good” I reply with a small smile “He’s being an ass don’t worry” She says referring to jj talking about that girl “Amy me and JJ have had like two conversations I have no right at all to be jealous and shit “I reply as I run my hand through my hair “so your jealous?” she clocks with a smirk “bitch shut up” I scoff with a grin as we go back over to the group.JJ shouts my name “Hm?”I respond confused as I look at the blonde .

"Lia I want you to meet JJ"I say with a smile as she lifts her face up and looks at the boy next to me "Oooo" she says and starts making kissy noises. Me and JJ both let out a laugh as I put her down and she goes running off. "Dad!" I shout him into the living room as we go and sit down on my couch. I slowly grab JJ's hand as my dad walks into the living room. I feel him tense up "You must be JJ!" my dad says with a smile as JJ stands up and shakes my dad's hand "You hungry?" my dad asks as he sits on the couch opposite us.
"Yeah starving" jj says with an awkward laugh as he sits back down next to me. "Well good to meet u JJ I'm gonna go help in the kitchen," he says with a smile as he goes back into the kitchen "See it's fine," I say reassuringly as I rub circles on jj back "Yeah your dad seems nice" JJ replies with a smile. Before I can reply Lia comes running in with her crayons and paper "What you drawing Lee?" I ask "Me and JJ," She says bluntly "Oh you are now are you?" I say as I look at JJ with a smile and then back at her.
"Yep," she says as she starts scribbling on the paper with different colours. "I think she might like you," I say to JJ with a laugh "Just a bit," he says returning a toothy smile " I really appreciate you coming," I say softly "Of course," he says in the same soft tone as I give him a small kiss on the lips "Ew!" my sister shouts as she stands up with the paper in her hand and hands it to JJ
"Why thank you," he says as he looks on the paper to see a scribble of her and JJ with hearts around the page. Lia lets out a giggle and runs into the other room "Wow cam I think you have some competition" JJ jokes "Yeah yeah" I laugh My mom walks into the living room "Sorry about not coming in sooner!”Hi I’m her mom Melanie" she says as JJ stands up to greet her but my mom just pulls him into a hug. After a few seconds, they both pull away with a smile.
"Thank you for the invite by the way it means the world"JJ says as my mom sits down in the same spot my dad sat previously and JJ sat back down next to me. "It's my pleasure I've never seen Canm so happy," she says with a serious look "Mom stop ur embarrassing me" I reply as my face goes red.
"Well I think Lia likes me even more than your daughter does," jj says to my mom with a laugh as he passes her the drawing. My mom looks down at It and laughs "God she isn't half a hand full" my mom says shaking her head. "Dinners almost ready if u guys don't mind would u guys set the table?" my mom asks her eyes flickering between me and JJ "Yeah of course" he replies. I let out a groan as he pulls me off the couch and into the kitchen. We both start making the table as my sister sprints into the kitchen
"JJ JJ!" she shouts whilst pulling on JJ's arm "What's up Lee?" he asks softly as he neals down to talk to her. my heart immediately melts. "Can u come and help me draw please please pleaseeee" she begs whilst still pulling on his arm "Go on its fine ill finish setting the table"I say with a smile as he gets dragged back into the living room by Lia "Sooo" my mom begins "Sooo" I repeat with a grin "he's a cute one" my mom says returning the grin "yeahhhhh" I reply.
I finish setting the table and look into the living room. I see j sitting cross-legged on the floor helping my sister draw a picture.
At that moment I knew.
My mom comes up behind me and rests her chin on my shoulder "You love him don't you" she says "I think I do" I say softly "Hes a good one keep him close" my mom replies with a smile " Thats if Lia doesn't steal him from you" she adds with a giggle "mhm" I laugh "Alright well go get him and your sister dinners ready" she says giving me a kiss on the cheek as she goes back to putting food on the table. "I see you guys are having fun," I say walking over to them.
"Can close ur eyes!" my sister says "Quick cover them!" she adds as ij puts his hands over my eyes. "Hello to you guys too," I say confused. "Wait here!" my sister shouts as I hear her run off and come back. She gives JJ the okay to let me open my eyes "Well I don't know what u guys are plotting but dinners ready" I say as I help jj up and we walk into the kitchen "Smells amazing Melanie!" JJ says as we all sit down at the table
"Thankyou JJ but please call me mel" She laughs We all begin eating "So how did u and JJ meet?" my dad asks as he puts another mouthful of food in his mouth.
"Well you know how I work at the surf shop? well, jj is really good at surfing so he would buy supplies at the shop then you know we started hanging out" I say with an obvious smile painted on my face as I turn to him as I see the same grin on his face.
"Aww JJ do u work?" my mom asks "Not fully at the moment but I help Cam at the surf shop a lot and I fix cars here and there" he replies as he has a mouthful of his food. JJ places his hand on my thigh as my sister begins "JJ can we show Cam our drawing after dinner?" she says across the table "Yeah of course" he replies with a smile "You guys made me a drawing?" I ask
"Yep we did," jj says with a nod as he turns me witha grin "Your sister is quite the little artist" he adds "Mhm" Lia agrees with a proud nod. We finish off our food and we all go and sit in the living room. Obviously, JJ sits next to me and My mom and dad sit on the couch opposite us whilst my sister runs off and comes back with a piece of paper.
She looks at JJ for a second "Go on give it to her Lee" and with that Lia comes up to us and hands me the paper “why Thankyou”I say as I look down at it to see a picture of her me and jj all holding hands "awww I love it lee" I say in awe as I pick her up and hug her tightly.
After a moment she pulls away and just sits on my lap facing me "I wanna see the drawing!" my mom says as JJ hands her and my dad the paper. They both let out a laugh and give the paper back to JJ "Me and Lee make quite the team don't we" JJ smiles as he gives Lia a high five.
"Im starting to think you like Lia more than me," I say jokingly with a smile as I put her down "Well I meannnn" JJ jokes as I slap him on the shoulder lightly "You're a good man JJ your old man raised you right," my dad says. my heart drops. jj stiffens in his seat. I grab his hand and rub my thumb against it.JJ just smiles awkwardly and shuffles in his seat.
"Well me and JJ better get going we're meeting our friends later," I say with a smile at my parents as we both stand up. "Of course, it's been lovely meeting you JJ," My mom says hugging him once again "Good meeting you too," he says with a smile "You're a good lad JJ," my dad says shaking his hand "Bye JJ!" Lia shouts running up to him as he bends down and hugs her “Bye Lee!”JJ says to the little girl as he stands back up.
"Youll have to babysit her one day with JJ" my mother says to me with a grin "I think she might like that" I say with a laugh "Alright love you guys ill see you guys later," I say as I open the door and go to leave "Love u guys thank you for dinner!" JJ shouts with a smirk. We both laugh as I jump in the passenger seat and jj drives "Well they really like you," I say with a giggle. “
Im glad I was so nervous" he responds with an awkward laugh "I knew they'd love you," I say with a smile "Your sister certainly does," he says turning to me with a smile on his face. "You know I'd love to babysit ur sister sometime you know? like your mom said" JJ says climbing into bed as I join him putting my head on his bare chest as he plays with my hair "Id like that.My heart literally melted when I saw you helping her draw" I say looking up at him
"Really?" he says showing that mesmerising toothy smile "I love ur smile you know" I say out of the blue as I look at him in awe "you do?" he questions his face scrunching up"I really do" I say with a serious look on my face "well I happen to like your smile as well" he says pulling me up and kissing me.
I let out a giggle as I prop my chin on his chest and continue to look up at him "You know me and my mom were talking about you "I say "You were? Oh no what did I do wrong?" he says a worried look painted on his face "No, it's good I promise. I was watching you and Lia play and i realised" i pause for a minute
"i love you JJ" i say my breath heavy it's not like we weren't serious of anything but this is the first time i'd ever said i love you. "I love you too baby" JJ replies as he kisses my forehead.
