experimenting with things
Lady Lux as some dutiful princess. She holds an austere presence, yet it is not without a hint of melancholy.
( like for a starter! )
( gonna do these tomorrow )

[text]: Or one day you’ll realize you’re a strong independent woman who should learn how to take care of her own roses
[text]: Your lack of commitment towards certain responsibilities sometimes scares me
[text]: I think I can make that work. Email me the ticket later tonight if you can
[text] and one day you will take my advice on how to apply makeup. Until that day comes, indulge me.
[text] I am very busy. Housework was never my thing, you know this.
[text] I’m sending my driver to pick you up. Do you prefer white, riesling, rosé?

“Bad dream?” “It’s an All about Eve.” “That’s not Hepburn moment.” “I know. I was Bette Davis. I’ve never been Bette Davis before, I’m Audrey Hepburn!”

[text]: You asked who I trust and I trust no one outside of Jan or myself to take care of my flowers
[text]: You’re a terrible plant mom, I hope to God a child is never brought into your care. Who knows how you’d handle that?
[text]: I suppose I can come down…If you pay for my train ticket. I don’t feel like driving
[text]: I trust Jan but I know he’s too busy too. A pity! One day I’ll find a competent man who can do everything right and NOT destroy my poor roses.
[text]: there’s a big even with other wineries and I can’t have my pride and joy make a mockery of my good name! Nannies, dear, nannies care for the small ones but thank God I do not have any. Too finicky for my taste, thank you very much.
[text]: I’ll “do you one better than that” as they say. Tomorrow afternoon is good for you? I have a previous engagement dressing a man and I suspect it might take a few hours to drill into his brain that brown shoes never go well with anything.

`koffiehuis-love:
Jan’s knowledge of wines had been pounded into him by forces surrounding: Luxembourg, France, Spain and Italy. There was no escaping.
“Been doing well. It was hectic but things are normalizing. Yourself?”
Jan was a little stiff in these matters when it came to visiting. It was not like he was out of his element but there was always a question on how much should he divulge. And would it matter one way or another? Business was always a safer subject.
There is no escape with the other alcoholic beverage so loved by many Europeans. At least there was one thing some of them could agree on. Who’s was best was never an easy admission, each keeping to their own to the greater degree, but Jeanneclair was very proud of her little winery and fancied herself something of an expert on whites. Reds were... okay of course, but not so much the norm here.
The moment the bottle comes into her grasp, she calls for Inèz to get some cherries for their table given their freshness from the garden. And two glasses of Riesling in generous portions before she finally gets into her seat.
“Summer is approaching. I have so many tours, concerts, a sculpture symposium, the Pentecost Open Wine Cellars weekend is this one coming up, not to mention the Tour de Luxembourg-- It’s amazing I’m able to keep all the events on a schedule, there’s such a demand for my presence.” It feels like she’s rambling (as is her way), so the lady takes a breath and a sip of her wine.
“Hectic seems to be a relative norm nowadays. Everything has been good to you at least? You don’t look very tired. That’s a perk.” She pops a cherry into her mouth and appreciates the fact her help knows to pit the cherries. “It is good to see you’ve not succumbed to your tulips. They put on a lovely show this year at Keukenhof. Good job.”
marching-man:
Ludwig didn’t appreciate her looking him over like he was some sort of poor, misguided soul. Why did the matters of dress matter so long as he remained presentable? He didn’t know, “Well, pardon me for insulting your taste, but–” He did a double take, “Wait, shopping–?”
In his fashion sense Ludwig is indeed a poor, misguided soul. The Italians must find it horrendous as she does, not to mention their French neighbor. Jeanneclair gives a tsk and shake of her head. “Yes, shopping. I expected your listening skills to be more advanced than you capacity to dress yourself. Shopping-- A few well-tailored suits and nice shoes,” a minor gesture to the brown ones he adorned, “to replace this mess you’ve got. I’m free tomorrow evening so if you’re not forcing yourself through another meeting, let me know so I can help you.”
stillewijsheid:
[sms] a “Hey bas, how’re you doing today?” would be marvellous.
[sms] aw, why thank ya.
[sms] I’ll keep that in mind for when I’m not busy.
[sms] Do you prefer fish or beef? I need to chose the right wine and flowers for the table.
@kanaalreiziger
[text]: None that are currently living no. I take care of my garden on my own
[text]: I’d offer to take care of them for you myself but I don’t have the time to drive down to Luxembourg that often. You should learn to care for them
[text]: ……..But I mean if they’re in /real/ trouble I could come down and help fix them
[text]: Just because you take care of it doesn’t mean you don’t have friends that have gardeners and families who seek employment
[text]: That is a pity, though I suppose I could forgive you for that. Amusing but no, I have not a green thumb and entirely too many beautiful plants to entrust into my own care
[text]: They look atrocious! There’s a lady coming by with a camera to take pictures and they are HORRIBLE. Yes, please do come help. I need them perfect by this weekend
