Famed BMW tuner AC Schnitzer has gotten their hands on and modified BMW’s flagship hybrid, the i8. They’ve started off by lowering the car approximately one inch in the front, and about three quarters of an inch in the rear. AC Schnitzer also added on 21 inch AC1 forged five spoke allow wheels which shaves about 10 pounds of mass. Also added are carbon fiber spoiler elements, side skirts and rear wing. Apparently the interior (other than aluminum pedals and floor mats) and the powertrain has been left untouched for now. The stock powertrain consists of a 1.5 liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine and an electric motor which puts out a combined 357 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. Enough to propel the i8 from 0-60 in 4.2 seconds with a limited top speed of 155 miles per hour. Related
