Hello! My name is Mila, I’m 25 & painfully European, and this is my independent RP blog for Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon, Zireael, or simply Ciri from The Witcher saga by Andrzej Sapkowski. The main headcanon basis for my portrayal are the novels, but I adopt the appearance and some of her personality from the video game. While I’m hardly affiliated with the show, I’m not opposed to roleplaying with muses based completely off it! Currently working on my pages, so please be patient! Thank you!

Having a child in Kaer Morhen, at first, seeemed dreadful. And getting used to it was. At least the first few weeks. After that, things began to fall into place and a routine was created, something that Eskel could hold onto. And once that happened, he took the time to get to know their newest addition to the keep. Ciri wasn’t the kind of child he was used to when visiting rundown villages and remote locations, she was special. And this talk in particular showed it as well.

He paid attention to her every word, nodding every so often and even taking a couple of slices of apple to eat as well. When she mentioned a secret, his eyebrows raised slightly. “Of course you can.” He assured her while grabbing a napkin and wiping her mouth full of apple crumbs. The secret in question was something that he wasn’t surprised about. “Ah, right… We were all scared of the comb at one point. You’ll see, eventually you’ll forget you were ever scared…” He eyed her for a moment and stood up, placing the dish aside. “Come on, follow me.” He said with a small smile as he began to walk, not telling her exactly where.

  things suddenly took an unexpected turn , but hardly an unwelcome one . grabbing as many apple slices as she could fit in her tiny hands -- a snack on the go -- ciri got up abruptly and proceeded to follow the witcher . with time , however , the initial surprise gave in to excitement , she loved surprises & getting such a reaction from eskel to her humble request left her giddy and vibrating with impatience . of course , her shorter legs didn’t quite allow her to keep up with the pace , so for a while ciri tagged behind eskel like his shadow . ❝ are we gonna see the horses ? are we ? for real ? i visit them sometimes with coën or lambert , but they’re not ... mine . so i don’t saddle ‘em . and i don’t think roach likes me ! she snorts and whines a lot when i try to get closer ...  ❞

  what kept her thoughts occupied was eskel’s unfeigned confession about the witcher training . it felt bizarre and incomprehensible , did witchers really feel fear ... ? but they were so big , so strong , so skilled & their eyes were like those of a cat -- from ciri’s perspective , there was nothing they couldn’t do , couldn’t overcome . she wanted to be one of them , toss her insecurities and fright aside like a pair of worn-out shoes , be unstoppable on her path . ❝ eskel ... ? ❞ ciri began once her mouth was done chewing on the last pieces of fruit she managed to take with her . ❝ do you still ... are you still scared of anything ? or ... or --  ❞ the girl nibbled on her lower lip . ❝ or did you leave all your fear up there , on the comb ... ? ❞

He immediately circles the plate with his arms and yanks it back towards himself, almost spilling the contents, which was overflowing a tad.

“Yeah. I am.” Guarding his plate now, he gives Ciri a look, squinting slightly. It was a rather peaceful day in the keep and he was certain the other Wolves would like to keep it that way.

“And there’s nothing you can do about it,” he added with a small smug grin then, stabbing the knife into a potato. 

  ❝ Woah there, don’t get your knickers in a twist! I wasn’t after it, don’t have to worry your pretty little head about that. ❞ About how truthful that statement was, no one will ever know. Spinning her fork in her fingers, the ashen-haired girl reciprocates the playfulness of a smile. Tricking a witcher is a difficult task for sure -- but Ciri was never the one to lay down a challenge.

 ❝ If I were you I’d be careful not to wolf down too much. You’ll be sluggish during the sparring, and I quote your own words from -- oh, how long ago. ❞ Her own plate, emptied a while ago, reminded her of the hunger still making her bowels rumble. ❝ And you’re getting a lil’ senile, uncle-boo. ❞

{ talking to Betho made me realize that Ciri should be considered a threat to the witchers she knows since they all love and care her and maybe tell her some tea on the others and. she never forgets. she collects the information like it's her job and WILL use it to her advantage when she wants to achieve something }

The concept of a pinky promise was new to him, and the first time he saw her pinky finger stretched towards him the only reasonable action was to take it in between his thumb and index finger and pull it gently, with the most puzzled expression he could muster. The second time, he held it the same but shook her hand. Now, a third time and after hearing the explanation for such a thing, he held out his own pinky finger and laced it with hers. “Promise.” The mention of his brother had him chuckling and nodded, snorting. “That would be exactly what he would do.”

The snack in question was not something fancy, merely simple slices of baked apples. He held out the plate for her to grab some. “Training,” he began “doesn’t have to be tedious, you know? What is it that you like to do the most?”

    the question had her initially puzzled ; it had been a while since someone asked her what she wanted , not what she had to do . having nothing to reply with right off the bat , ciri decided to stuff herself with the fruit brought by the witcher . it tasted heavenly in comparison to what she had been served in the keep every night ; those suspicious herbs & shrooms tasted horribly , but complaining was futile . as vesemir once said - it’s not a gourmet inn with caviar && pheasant livers . perhaps this diet would have been difficult to a princess , though not only had ciri not considered herself one anymore ( a princess needs a kingdom , after all ) , but also living on a farm for months on end taught her how to appreciate every crumb of food . she was fine .

   ❝ umm , ❞ she mused with mouth full , small pieces of apple circling her lips . ❝ dunno , really . hmm ... geralt said it’s important to keep practicing what you’re not good at , so you gain experience ... so i guess i should go back on the comb . but i ... eskel , can i tell you a secret ? just -- keep it between the two of us , again ! we’re bonded by pinkies , anyway , so -- ... um ... ❞ she hesitated for a bit before making her confession . ❝ i’m really scared of it , it’s so slippery ... i keep falling off . coën doesn’t want me to catch fear , so he ... just puts me back up there . i miss ... i miss horses ... oh , oh ! eskel ! can we train on horseback ? i could show you something nice ! something my grandmama’s guards taught me ! ❞
