For a line that is the beginning of a fic about confronting yourself it sure is understated. It's that way because i couldn't think of another way than in the middle of something that would lead to Lava's first crisis point of getting her brain chemistry rearranged.

I can't start a fic about jacking someone off in a threesome that's actually about grief without making an Evangelion reference. Sue me.

Do you ever give yourself brainworms about a potential relationship that definitely existed that you never see? Zagreus went from having So Many Siblings to being an only child (for a time) and I absolutely love Eris. Gods of Blood and Strife seemed to be an interesting pair, so I threw the sibs together to see what would come out of the shaker. A gun is involved.

my take Kafka and Stelle's first time in @thedeerus's Time is Running Out au where stuff is grim and people sometimes have superpowers. Stelle was the first Stellaron Hunter and Elio really is a talking cat because this was written before canon revealed that the cat was actually a piece of a Doomed Timeline Stelle who exploded herself into an insane number of cats who walked backwards in time to change the future. First sentence on this one is difficult. I'm still the only fic in the Amiya/Lappland tag (everyone's an adult by the time the fic takes place. old fandom rules for what the order of the ship names means)

current obsession: this is tough because i haven't had a real, true blue obsession in a hot minute. so I'm going to say my current obsession is putting my oc Aerin Maxwell thru the horrors, but also! putting her thru the recoveries

currently reading: i just started re-reading The Count of Monte Cristo today! We watched the pbs series recently, and are rewatching Gankutsuo. It's been over 10 years now since i first read it 😵‍💫 I've been having a lot of trouble reading like i used to, so even tho it's enormously long, i felt like this would be a good book to keep me engaged (i should go to the freaking library too tho and try some new stuff)

currently working on: the next episode for Dandies in Danger! We just finished Arc 4, so the interlude is next.

currently wearing: my comfy black sweatpants, and my high school LitMag shirt (yr 2007-2008) which has amazingly stayed intact all these years......... okay there's a couple small holes

Dexter/Harrison dirty talk 👀

So "dirty talk" is a misnomer here, but the fic is set after Resurrection s1, while Harrison is at college, and he's gotten into a nasty fight where he got drunk and carried away, and he runs home to dad, and gradually describes what happened in the fight and is hoping his dad will provide some sort of absolution.

But Dexter gets horny about it instead.

Basically, the premise is that Dexter is here to help guide his son but also hearing his son talking about the incredible violence he is akin to dirty talk to Dexter and he gets aroused and Harrison notices it and he's kinda mad about it. YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO HELP ME.

It's divided up into separate sections and scenes as the 'dirty talk' escalates into actual porn, but we'll see how long it takes to get there.

Excerpt:

Dad watches him eat, his eyes fixed on him, even after he’s finished his food. He watches him instead of getting up to clean—which fair, Harrison will do the dishes, pull his own weight, not make Dad take care of him like a baby—his gaze intent, heavy, like there was something highly interesting about the food Harrison was artlessly shoveling in his mouth.  “So,” Dad starts, as Harrison reaches for a drink, tilting his head to the side, “how many times did you hit him?” Harrison nearly chokes on his water. Instead, he finishes the whole glass in one gulp, trying not to react, even if a part of him is thinking how the fuck did you know? Be cool. Be fucking normal. Even if this is the whole reason why he came here.  “Who says I hit anyone?” Harrison asks, trying not to sound ungrateful.
