Budget Solo Trip 11 Hari ke Korea

Banyak yang sering nanya, harus bawa uang berapa sih kalau mau jalan-jalan ke Korea Selatan? Gue pun selalu jawab, tergantung kalian mau travelingnya gaya apa? Mewah atau ngirit? Lalu kalian ke Korea itu mau apa? Lihat pemandangan, experience budayanya, wisata kuliner sampai eneg, belanja kosmetik dan baju, atau fangirling? *eh ini mah gue* hahaha…

Untuk memberikan gambaran bagi kalian yang buta sama sekali tentang Korea, berikut ini fakta-fakta tentang biaya hidup di Korea:

- Korea masih lebih murah daripada Jepang. Bahkan untuk tarif penginapan, masih lebih worth it Korea daripada Singapura. Kalian bisa dapat hostel yang bersih, kamar single (meskipun shared bathroom) dengan harga Rp 300.000 saja per malamnya.

Bandingin sama Singapura yang nawarin capsule atau bunk bed isi 8 orang, shared bathroom dengan harga Rp 500.000 per malam. Jepang apa lagi, kamarnya super mungil dan kalau yang murah, lokasinya jauh banget dari stasiun kereta.

- Harga makanan di restoran Korea rata-rata di atas KRW 5.000 (Rp 60.000). Ini untuk golongan restoran Korea yang jualannya bibimbap, omurice, kkalguksu, dll. Kalau makanan yang ada daging sapi atau seafood, rata-rata satu porsi harganya KRW 10.000 – 15.000 (Rp 120.000 – Rp 180.000).

Untungnya kalau di Korea, harga yang tertera di menu ini udah bersih. Gak ada pajak atau service charge. Minum juga bisa tuh gak usah pesan. Biasanya ada mesin air minum (dingin pula!) yang kita bisa refill sepuasnya. Mungkin kecuali restoran mahal (fine dining) ya. Gak pernah ke restoran mahal juga pas di sana.

Pelayan resto akan kasih kita gelas (ukurannya kecil dan terbuat dari stainless steel) atau juga kita yang bisa ambil sendiri di ‘kulkas’ steril. Di beberapa tempat, ada juga yang kasih gelas. Kita ambil sendiri gelas kertas sekali pakai di dekat mesin air minumnya.

Mau ngopi-ngopi cantik atau nge-dessert cantik di aneka kafe trendi macam Mango Six, A Twosome Place dan kawan-kawannya? Siapkanlah setidaknya KRW 7.000 (Rp 84.000) untuk satu jenis minuman atau patbingsoo (es serut).

Mau super ngirit bujet makan? Belilah ramyun cup dan samgak kimbap (nasi kepal segitiga) di convenience store macam GS25, 7-Eleven atau C&U. Ramyun cup harganya sekitar KRW 2.000 (Rp 24.000). Samgak kimbap tergantung isinya, harganya mulai dari KRW 2.000. Kimbap di restoran juga lumayan, rata-rata harganya KRW 4.000 dan lebih sehat dari ramyun LOL.

- Ongkos transportasi di Korea lumayan mahal. Naik MRT itu sekali tap, langsung motong KRW 1.050 (Rp 12.600). Setelah ngelewatin batas maksimum berapa stop, kita akan dikenain ekstra charge kelipatan KRW 100 (Rp 1.200). Tergantung jauhnya stasiun kita turun. Naik bus juga sama. Untuk rute dalam kota, sekali tap KRW 1.050.

Kalau di Jeju yang emang rute ke berbagai destinasi wisatanya jauh-jauh, pastinya lebih mahal. Contohnya: dari pusat kota Jeju ke Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak) yang ada di ujung timur pulau Jeju dan makan waktu sekitar 2 jam perjalanan, tarif busnya itu KRW 3.000 (Rp 36.000).

Jadi bagi gue yang jalannya jauh-jauh, isi T-Money (kartu uang elektronik yang bisa dipakai untuk bayar bus, kereta, taksi dan belanja) sebanyak KRW 10,000 itu paling cukup untuk 2 hari aja.

Ini kartu T-Money, uang elektronik yg bisa dipake untuk bayar transportasi umum di Korea. Mulai dari Seoul sampe Jeju-do.

- Kalian bisa banget ngirit kalau cuma mau liat-liat pemandangan di Korea. Mereka punya banyak banget taman cantik dan public space yang terbuka untuk umum alias gratis. Kalau tempat-tempat budaya kayak istana dll emang ada tiket masuknya. Tapi gak mahal. 

Kalau yang tiket masuknya mahal itu taman rekreasi kayak Lotte World dan Everland. Mirip-mirip lah sama Disneyland harga tiketnya. Everland itu harga one day ticket-nya KRW 54.000 (sekitar Rp 650.000), sementara Lotte World harga one day ticket-nya KRW 52.000 (sekitar Rp 625.000).

- Kalau soal tiket pesawat, ini pinter-pinternya kalian berburu aja. Gue berhasil dapet harga tiket Garuda untuk Jakarta – Seoul PP Rp 4,5 juta waktu ada promo GAjian. 

Mereka jualannya akhir Agustus 2016. Gue pesen untuk perjalanan akhir Maret 2017. Wauw kan? Haha.. terus pas awal tahun 2017 ada GA Travel Fair ama BNI dan ada yang dapet tiket Jakarta – Seoul cuma Rp 3,5 juta *jleb*

Untuk tiket pesawat ke Jeju-do, gue juga beli dari jauh-jauh hari.. bulan September 2016. Dapetnya Asiana Airlines (full service airline). Harganya pantas menurut gue dan udah dapet bagasi 20 kg. 

Maskapai (yang katanya) bujet kayak Jeju Air malah mahal. Eastar Jet baru buka penjualan 3 bulan sebelum tanggal yang kita mau. Harganya yang paling murah juga belum sama bagasi. Waktu itu gue cuma taunya maskapai ini aja.

Pas di Gimpo Airport kemarin, gue liat ada beberapa maskapai bujet lainnya. Mungkin kalau kalian mau coba hunting boleh… ada Jin Air, Busan Air sama T’Way. Siapa tau dapet lebih murah :)

Aprilskin's Turn Up Color Treatment Review

Having a bleached hair for 2 months makes me missed the old softness. When I don’t need to put conditioner, hair oil & curl my hair everyday to cover it’s condition. It is really dry and hard to maintain without additional treatment & styling. I have heard about grey & rose gloss treatment at one of Jakarta’s most famous hair salon. It’s affordable (IDR 300k) and said to be able to make your hair feels smooth while it also gives color. So when I found about Aprilskin’s hair product called Turn Up Color Treatment, I’m very interested. They have 5 colors: pink, peach pink, blue, orange & red. This even makes me more interested because.. you know. Pink! So I bought 3 boxes of this Color Treatment from StyleKorean.com. They sold this for USD 12.42 per item. They also offering free shipping via Rincos for purchase more than USD 30. Another reason is that I can’t found these products at Indonesian online store. So after about 2 weeks, finally the products arrived from Korea. I bought 2 boxes of Pink and 1 box of Peach Pink. Why? Because the Peach Pink is really pretty but it might not work on my hair level. So.. just in case. To be safe, I bought more Pink. One tube volume is 60 ml and the official Aprilskin tutorial said that for a shoulder length hair, you’ll need 3 boxes. But I’m not going to believe that for sure.. I just used 1 tube and it’s more than enough. Yassss! I used a brush to apply it over my level 7 - 8 bleached hair. The smell is really nice. It’s fruity sweet. The texture itself kinda similar to Pravana Vivids. It’s not runny but a bit hard to apply without brush. You need to take smaller section and brush it thoroughly to get the color spread evenly.

This is how the treatment looks like. It’s more like burgundy or something similar to that.. once applied in my hair, it’s also a bit dark. But after washing, I can definitely see the pink. Umm.. nope.. I’d rather called it dark magenta. It almost looks like my previous result with Manic Panic’s Hot Hot Pink, but it’s a lot darker and more wearable for daily looks.

After drying, my hair definitely feels smooth. No tangle like usual. It’s manageable and soft like my old hair before it was bleached. So happy *clutches heart* here is what it looks like after dried. This photo was taken indoor btw.

Overall, I love this product and definitely will purchase again someday. Rather than dyeing with semi-permanent vegan dye, I’ll choose Aprilskin’s Turn Up Color Treatment which is sold at the same price.

Pravana Vivids Pink Review

After two times dyeing my hair with Manic Panic Hot Hot Pink (and end up with very bright magenta hair), I decided to experiment with lighter shade. I bought a Pravana Vivids Pink. The official website & the seller always mentioned that this shade is only works on bleached level 10 hair.

FYI, my hair is bleached and permanently dyed with Alfaparf 7 MR (Metallic Rose) which is supposed to be look like the popular rose gold hair. But.. yeah, it didn’t turn out as I imagine. After looking into Alfaparf’s Facebook page, turns out we have to add some color pigments to boost the color (violet & red).

My hair colorist is a freelance & we did it at her home. Of course she didn’t have the pigment. It’s expensive! Okay, back to the main topic. So to cover up the gold tone, I try to dye it with Manic Panic. The seller told me to use ‘dark’ shade like Hot Hot Pink because my hair is only at level 7.

Yeah, it works.. but it’s too much for daily office looks (thankfully my boss was okay with that). When it is fading, it starts looking beautiful.. something like that rose gold that I wanted. But I started to think, is this the only way? Can’t I dye my hair with lighter pink shades?

So I decided to buy Pravana Vivids Pink and Pulp Riot Blush (I haven’t try this, maybe later I will review it too). Even though it is said they only works at level 10 hair. My first impression with Pravana Vivids Pink: wow, it’s a purple! LOL.

I only spent half tube to cover up my ombre balayage hair. Maybe because I’m doing the dye job in the bathroom and it feels too hot I can’t stand too long inside, I was kinda hurrying. The end result is sloppy. The color didn’t show up really well. Even though I add extra heat to it.

In some area (the inner part), I can see a blush of pink.. but in outer part of my hair, nothing. It’s still orange kinda gold. Sigh... But after the first wash (with sulfate free shampoo and no conditioner), the pink blush in the inner part started to showing up a little better.

After one week, I decided to re-dye my hair with the remaining tube. This time I did it differently. I’m dividing my hair into two sections, the upper and the lower part. I tied my lower hair and start to dye my upper hair first. I also did it in my room, with air conditioning hahaha...

Since it’s more comfortable, I can dye my hair with extra meticulous. I take small sections and brush thoroughly, make sure no gold hair left. After the upper hair all done, turns out I still have a few drops in the tube. I squeeze it all and applied it on my lower hair.

After put my hair in a shower cap for 1 hour and without heat, I rinse my hair with cold water. I have a positive vibe this time. The color is there in every part of my hair. After drying it, I almost cry of joy. Hahaha... it really works! My hair now looks like that beautiful dusty rose shade. I love it! Just hope it didn’t fade so fast T_T How do you think?

So, my conclusion about Pravana Vivids Pink semi-permanent vegan hair dye is:

- Yes, Pravana Vivids smells good (like all people said). Even after one wash with shampoo, the dye fragrance still there.

- One tube’s volume is 90 ml. My hair length is over the shoulder. While the bleached part is from the ends to under my ear. I have a thick hair too. But half tube can cover up mine.

- Even though it maybe works the best on level 10 hair, but turns out in a level 7 - 8 hair they can show up too! Just put extra effort and brush each of your hair strands meticulously. 

- For the price itself, in Indonesia the distributor sell it for IDR 295.000 (around USD 24). I bought it during the promotional period for IDR 250.000 (around USD 18,6). I haven’t decide whether to repurchase or not. 

I’m gonna try Pulpriot first and compare which one is more worth the price. Pulpriot price is IDR 280.000 (around USD 20,9) and the tube volume is bigger - 118 ml (the same as Manic Panic). So.. let’s see~

Petunjuk Jalan & Transportasi Umum di Korea Selatan (Seoul, Busan, Jinhae & Jeju)

Buat solo traveler kayak gue, mau gak mau pasti bergantungnya sama transportasi umum. Untungnya sistem subway di Seoul itu bagus banget. Di Busan pun subway-nya udah menjangkau ke seluruh bagian. Meski ada yang harus sambung lagi pake village bus atau semacem angkot lah kalo di Indonesia.

Bahkan di Jeju Island yang semacam Bali gitu, gue naik bus ke mana-mana. Iya lah.. bisa miskin kalau naik taksi. Tempat wisatanya jauh-jauh dari kota Jeju.. bisa sampe 40 km-an. Bisa miskin dan dipelototin ahjussi drivernya.. Mau sewa mobil juga gak mungkin, kecuali gue anak horangkayah.

Oke, jadi bagi yang kemarin mungkin udah sempet baca post pertama gue tentang Itinerary Liburan 11 Hari ke Korea Saat Musim Semi, tentunya bertanya-tanya juga.. Ini si Metta ngasih itinerary, tapi jalan menuju ke sananya gimana? Nah ini gue kasih lengkap petunjuk jalan sama transportasi umumnya.

Beda ama yg kalian dapetin kalo hasil googling atau nyari di website tourism-nya Korea, gue kasih penjabaran lengkap. Biasa kan cuma tulisannya “turun di stasiun X, keluar di exit Z.” Trus, dari exit situ kemana? LOL... I know what chu feeling really well.

Selama di Korea, gue bisa terbantu naik turun bus dengan mudah karena bisa baca Hangul (huruf Korea) dan ngomong bahasa Korea. Bagi kalian mungkin akan agak kesulitan karena petunjuk bus dalam bahasa Korea semua. Supir bus di Busan dan Jeju juga relatif gak bisa bahasa Inggris.

Kalau di Jeju, naik bus antar kota (kayak mau ke Seongsan Ilchulbong dll), harus sebutin dulu tujuan kalian ke supirnya. Nanti dia itung tarifnya, baru kalian tap kartu T-Money di mesin reader. Jadi bukan kayak bus dalam kota yang jauh dekat sama aja.

Itinerary Liburan 11 Hari ke Korea Selatan (Seoul, Busan, Jinhae, Jeju Island)

Yup, gue baru aja solo trip ke Korea selama 11 hari pada 1 - 11 April 2017 lalu. Sengaja gue pilih tanggal ini karena mau ngejar momen musim semi. Dulu pas trip ke Korea tahun 2013, perginya di musim panas (karena tujuan utamanya nonton konser SHINHWA wkwk..)

Jadi kali ini dimaksimalin mau berburu cherry blossom dan canola / yellow rapeseed flower. Setelah melalui berbagai riset selama beberapa bulan, jadilah itinerary lengkap dengan petunjuk arah serta panduan transportasinya.. Tapi tentunya gak semua yang ada di itinerary sukses dijalanin. 

So berikut ini itinerary final alias yang bener-bener udah gue datengin tempatnya.. untuk detail directions kayak how to get there by bus, subway or walk, will be uploaded later (kalo gak males mwahahaha)

Day 1 (Sabtu, 1 April 2017)

* Tiba di bandara Incheon sekitar pukul 9.30 AM by Garuda Indonesia flight 

* Beli tiket kereta ekspres (non stop train dari Incheon ke Seoul Station)

* Langsung menuju Cobe Guesthouse Dongdaemun di daerah Dongmyo

* Early check in dan mandi

* Ke Ihwa Mural Village, desa yg ngehits karena mural indahnya. Tapi ternyata sekarang udah banyak mural yang dihapus ama warga setempat.

* Late lunch Sundubu Chige di Naksan-gol restaurant

* Jalan-jalan di daerah Daehangno, daerah kampus yg terkenal ada banyak restoran hits dan small theater

* Ke daerah Sinchon, salah satu tempat gaul anak muda. Banyak street performer, bisa belanja juga di sini

* Ke Dongdaemun Design Plaza. Tadinya mau hunting LED Rose Garden. Tapi udah gak ad ternyata -_- ya udah ngeliatin fashion people aja krn kebetulan lagi ada fashion week gtu di sini

* Kembali ke hostel

Day 2 (Minggu, 2 April 2017)

* Ke Kyeongbok-gung (Kyeongbok Palace). Sewa premium hanbok di Gureumi Hanbok 2 jam. Foto-foto di dalam istana & bareng prajurit penjaganya.

* Lunch Oven Cheese Tonkatsu di Seochon-gil Tonkatsu

* Ke SBS Hall (tempat syuting Inkigayo) di daerah Gayang

* Ke Yeouido Park hunting cherry blossom (ternyata masih botak)

* Ke daerah Insadong

* Dinner Fried Kimchi Mandu & Bulgogi Mandu di Bukchon Sonmandu cabang Insadong (di Ssamziegil)

* Kembali ke hostel, packing.

Day 3 (Senin, 3 April 2017)

* Check out dari Cobe Guesthouse Dongdaemun jam 08.00 AM. Ngejar bus ke Busan yg jam 09.40 AM dari Seoul Express Bus Terminal Station.

* Abis beli tiket bus yg tipe Luxury Express, masih ada waktu jadi sarapan dulu. Dolsot Bibimbap di Haeundae Shikdang (di dlm terminal)

* Perjalanan pake bus Luxury Express dari Seoul ke Busan ini makan waktu sekitar 4 jam 15 menit. Bus akan berhenti 1x di rest area selama 15 menit.

* Sekitar pukul 02.00 PM tiba di Busan, tepatnya di terminal Nopo. Langsung melanjutkan perjalanan dari Nopo pake subway menuju penginapan. 

* Tiba di Green House alias Byucksan Blooming Apartment yang ada di deket stasiun Gaya. Check in.

* Terpesona sama rimbunnya pohon cherry blossom di sekitar apartemen, jadi foto-foto dulu di sini.

* Ke BIFF Square. Jalan-jalan terus nyasar ke Nampodong Market. Lalu jadinya sekalian ke Yongdusan Park (ada Busan Tower & bisa liat Busan city view dari ketinggian)

* Kembali ke penginapan

Day 4 (Selasa, 4 April 2017)

* Berangkat jam 9 pagi ke terminal Sasang. Beli tiket bus ke Jinhae

* Perjalanan dari Busan ke Jinhae kurang lebih 2 jam. Setibanya di terminal intercity bus Jinhae, harus nyambung bus biasa lagi ke Romance Bridge.

* Di Romance Bridge bisa puas-puasin foto ama cherry blossom dari ujung ke ujung.

* Bergerak ke Kyeonghwa Station, naik bus lagi.

* Di Kyeonghwa Station bisa foto-foto di deket kereta yg ikonik itu dengan latar belakang pohon cherry blossom.

* Lunch keop-bap (rice bowl pake daging sapi) di bazaar Kyeonghwa station

* Sorenya sekitar jam 5 udah harus siap-siap jalan balik ke Jinhae intercity bus terminal biar gak kemaleman sampe Busan-nya.

* Jam 9 malam, akhirnya tiba di terminal bus Sasang, Busan. Langsung kembali ke penginapan.

Day 5 (Rabu, 5 April 2017)

* Hujan deras dari pagi, jadi cari tempat yg indoor. Ke Centum City, mal paling gede di Busan. Di sini juga ada cabang Shinsaege (dept store) terbesar di Korea.

* Ke Dalmaji-gil Hill (salah satu tempat paling hits di Busan kalau musim cherry blossom)

* Berangkat lagi ke Gamcheon Culture Village (desa mungil warna-warni)

* Ke daerah Seomyeon, dinner Dweji Gukbap (pork soup with rice) khas Busan katanya ini

* Kembali ke penginapan, packing.

Day 6 (Kamis, 6 April 2017)

* Check out dari Green House jam 9 pagi. Ke terminal bus Sasang. Beli tiket bus balik ke Seoul. Kali ini belinya yg Reguler Express (lebih murah). Dapetnya yg jam 12.00.

* Perjalanan pake bus Reguler Express ini kurang lebih 4,5 jam. Dia ada berhenti 1x di terminal kota kecil gitu. Terus berhenti lagi 20 menit di rest area.

* Tiba di Seoul Express Bus Terminal, langsung menuju hostel yaitu Big John’s Place Guesthouse di daerah Gangnam, tepatnya Sinnonhyeon.

* Check-in, mandi, langsung berangkat lagi ke kantor agency VIXX yaitu Jellyfish Entertainment di Dosandae-ro (masih daerah Gangnam juga)

* Ke LINE Store & Cafe yg di Garosu-gil

* Dinner Clam Kkalguksu di Garosu-gil

* Kembali ke hostel

Day 7 (Jumat, 7 April 2017)

* Breakfast Tuna Kimchi Fried Rice di Kimbab Dami (deket stasiun Sinnonhyeon)

* Ke K-Star Road di Apgujeong Rodeo

* Ke KBS (stasiun TV yg nyiarin Music Bank)

* Ke Yeouido Park hunting cherry blossom (lagi)

* Ke Seokchon Lake di Jamsil hunting cherry blossom

* Dinner di daerah deket hostel, Mapo Galmegi

* Kembali ke hostel, packing

Day 8 (Sabtu, 8 April 2017)

* Check out dari Big John’s lalu sarapan di Kimbab Dami (again)

* Naik subway ke Gimpo airport

* Flight from Seoul to Jeju-do / Jeju Island by Asiana Airlines jam 3 PM

* Sekitar jam 4.30 PM tiba di Jeju airport, langsung ke Maro Hostel

* Karena udah kesorean & kebanyakan attractions di Jeju itu jauh-jauh dari kota dan tutup jam 6 sore -_- jadi rencana awal semuanya gagal

* Ke Baozhen Street di Shin Jeju, cari makan malam

* Dinner Haemul Kimchi Jeon (seafood kimchi pancake) di Shinhwa Pajeon

* Kembali ke hostel

Day 9 (Minggu, 9 April 2017)

* Pagi-pagi buta (sekitar jam 5.30 pagi) udah siap-siap berangkat, nunggu bus pertama ke Seongsan Ilchulbong.

* Tiba di Seongsan Ilchulbong, foto-foto lah sampe puas

* Sarapan Abalone & Raw Octopus Rice di local restaurant

* Balik ke Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal. Naik bus yang ke arah Pyoseon. Menuju Gasiri

* Tiba di Gasiri alias Noksan-ro, the longest and most beautiful road. Di sepanjang sisi kiri kanannya ada padang bunga yellow rapeseed (bonus cherry blossom!)

* Balik ke Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal. Tadinya mau ke O’Sulluc Tea Museum tapi udah kelewatan busnya. Jadwal berikutnya jam 6 sore alias udah tutup tuh O’Sulluc. Jadinya ke Sanbangsan (Sanbang Mountain) aja

* Tiba di Sanbangsan, hunting yellow rapeseed flower lagi~

* Dinner ramyeon (LOL) di GS25 Sanbangsan

* Kembali ke Jeju city

* Packing & istirahat

Day 10 (Senin, 10 April 2017)

* Check out dari Maro Hostel Jeju

* Menuju Jeju airport, flight to Seoul by Asiana jam 12.10

* Tiba di Gimpo Airport, langsung ke Hongdae

* Check in di BooBoo Guesthouse Hongdae

* Late lunch di Shinseon Seollongtang Hongdae

* Ke kantor SE7EN (ELEVEN9 Ent) di Hongdae

* Ke kantor SHINHWA (Liveworks & SHINHWA Company) di Digital Media City

* Ke MBC (komplek stasiun TV & museum) di Sangam-dong

* Ke Myeongdong, belanja titipan orang & oleh-oleh

* Kembali ke hostel

Day 11 (Selasa, 11 April 2017)

* Pagi-pagi sekali (jam 7.30 AM) check out dari BooBoo Guesthouse)

* Berangkat menuju Incheon airport dari stasiun Hongdae (sayangnya cuma bisa pake reguler train alias all stop train arggghhh)

* Tiba di bandara Incheon, flight to Jakarta by Garuda Indonesia at 10.35 AM

* Drop checked-in baggage, sarapan terakhir di Korea

* Boarding and finally saying goodbye to Korea~~~
