Every soul is signed into a contract with one of the Sins when they wake up in Hell. It is unavoidable.
The deal a soul makes with their assigned Sin only has one condition: no deals with other souls under any circumstances. The only way a soul's deal with a Sin can be broken is by the Sin themself.
When a deal is attempted between two souls, it notifies the Sins and then the deal fails.
just a quick sketch of how the pride ring looks in my circo lūciferī au ! each sin has their own district and tent that they occasionally visit. they all own human souls that live in their district. luci's carnival takes up most of the ring, and his big top tent, which is absolutely massive, is in the center.
i havent worked out what i want their dynamic to be (or even what i want the sinners to be like) but the first thing that came to mind was lucifer dressing him up like a slutty performer so i just had to
he's demiromantic and demi-pansexual. thats a bit of a problem because he doesnt let himself form meaningful friendships (hes too focused on himself to care). if you asked him, he'd tell you he's only attracted to the nearest mirror.
slight rework of an oc. he's now a sinnersona and i will be shipping him with vox. he works for voxtek as a maintenance technician. he wears skin-tight stuff because he has to crawl inside of tight spaces pretty often.

Lucifer doesn't really listen when someone tries to mellow out his impulsive nature; not even the Sins can get through to him when he has his mind set on a new project.
And no, he cannot harm sinners! He can use his magic, though (which he does quite often).
Wasn't 100% sure how to interpret this so J took it as "what happens when he meets someone not impulsive".
If someone like Asmodeus, who thinks through decisions, tried to get Lucifer to do the same, he'd simply ignore their advice. He's too self-absorbed to actually listen to constructive criticism. He simply silences the people criticizing him, displays his power to scare off any other annoyances, and continues with whatever he wants to do.
Asmodeus: My Lord, perhaps this new venture is a bit ambitious—
Lucifer: I didn't make you for advice, Ozzie. Now get me more paper.
circo lūciferī lucifer is more outwardly prideful. he has no reason to feel ashamed, because he never damned the woman he loved, because he never loved her at all.
Lucifer never fell in love with Lilith, nor did they offer Eve the fruit of knowledge together; instead, he came to Earth and offered all three of the first humans the fruit of knowledge by himself, and all three accepted the gift.
Lucifer was given a chance to apologize and accept a lighter punishment from Heaven, but he challenged them, and that act of pride coupled with his actions on Earth is what earned him his damnation. He fell alone, and though he had no love, he also had no reason to feel guilty, for he was the only one forced down to Hell. He dragged no one else down with him.
Lucifer is a performer at heart. He craves attention and praise from his subjects, and he isn't afraid to use force to get it. They all know he can't hurt them, but Lucifer can enact much worse punishment without causing physical pain.
Lucifer: How are we feeling, sinners? Good? Good. That's what I like to hear! I've got a special performance for you tonight! Please, hold the applause.
