The fact that @homeofthepanthers was based on a tv show, doesn’t mean that the adaptations and the detail that went into building the rpg don’t belong to the admins involved. Yes, it was based on FNL, yes it’s not the first, and yes taking inspiration isn’t prohibited. No one is arguing that here, the thing that’s bothering us is that old members literally came together and so blatantly ripped off something that we know Becca, Jamie and Emily worked incredibly hard on.
Using a show for inspiration is not prohibited nor is it what we are arguing here. Had it been someone who had no connection to the group, no knowledge about it it would have been more plausible that they too come up with the idea on their own, You however did not, you were old members and you used an IDEA that was already floating out there without caring about the ethics behind it. You copied an RP, knowingly and you are now trying to play it off as if it was an “honest mistake.”
If the admins want us to.. how about just doing it to be a fucking decent human being? I mean is that too hard to ask? I know that there were differences between ya’ll and the admins but that still gives you no right to take their work. Like the colors are down right similar to the RPG, the rally girls, and some characters even resemble old characters in HOTP and that’s even lower because the members own those characters and they created them.
So yes, you have offended them and the people they are still friends with. But also tone it down this is not the entire RP community. It’s just a couple of old members who were concerned and that’s it.
