Hola 💕 Paso a dejar un dibujo de mi niña 🙈 mi OC de Eldarya. Es una Daemon, le he cambiado algunas cosas, entre ellas quitar su heterocromía, ahora tiene ojos grises, también decidí que fuera una Daemon pura, eliminando así su mitad humana. They’ve literally been tracing stuff for a long time now this isn’t anything new

I remember the first thing I ever noticed was traced was Kiki, I must have made the comparison on the forum all that time ago, because I can’t seem to find that on the blog. Anyway, I did use the original Corgi Image on the MCL Movie poster that I made a millennia ago. XDD

Holy hell, it took forever to find this image again!! 

Anyway, I can see why you guys are frustrated, but this is pretty normal for even professional artist, I mean, probably not to this exact extent most times, but if you want your art to look good and you aren’t sure how to go about the proportions, you use a reference. (Usually, rule of thumb the reference -should- be your own image to keep from copyrights of any kind, but even pros will still take from google… Doesn’t make it right, but it is common.) There are even controversies on this topic with some professional Japanese Manga artist in the anime community. It’s actually very normal to trace and reference, especially real-life, images to make sure things look right.

TLDR; This happens even with other pros, it isn’t really right to take images that aren’t your own or aren’t royalty free, but it still happens. :/

Also Edit: It is legal to use something copyrighted if you change a majority of it’s distinguishability. Depends case to case and on the individual copyright holder, etc.

I’ll admit I mostly find it interesting, though, I do feel some (like Kiki and Amber’s room) feel a bit too close while at least Armin’s and Castiel’s feel more inspired if anything, even if the room layout is the same, just flipped.

Or like Nathaniel’s books in his room just… each shelf being a pile of stock book images put in.
