they are not many who call her khaleesi anymore. when other say it, she feels the weight of the past, but jorah always makes it sound as a praise almost. a woman leading a khalasar, one of a kind. his affection for her had never been hidden, sometimes overlooked for the sake of what was beyond them but she knew it was there. and when he said he was dying, she felt she would die too. in the end, daenerys had sighed in relief when she saw him walking forth and healed, back to her as he promised. "you have no desire to go home, then? to bear island?" to the north, for as much as he wears the clothes of the south and her guard, sworn sword, he is a northern man and she knows, many of them long for the ice in their veins.

"perhaps a visit, I would like to see where you grew up, jorah." she would like to see where he became the man he is now. "drogon is big enough for two. and I believe a dragonkeeper has made me a saddle." apparently, not having one had been bad for her thighs, but she was thankful for the guidence of the order that remain in secret. at least now she does not feel as alone in her love and caare for her dragons. a small weight lifted from her. ' though the idea of visiting did warm his heart. his features reflecting that. memories of his childhood coming to the forefront of his mind. that understanding smile now turning to one of remembrance. of a time long past. but daenerys was one that seemed hesitant on which side to take in this conflict. a wise decision , to get all perspectives before making a decision. but time would soon be running out to make a choice. and her family would insist upon it. if what he knew about them was enough to go off of. there's a deep breath , and a shake of his head when she asked what it is she should do. ' i cannot say i have been in a war such as this among kin. it is ... a delicate matter , your family appears to be in. ' he tried to choose his words carefully , before looking out to her dragons flying in the air. ' i do not envy your position. but if it were me ... my house words say , here i stand. i fear i would be bound to honor what my forefather had set forth , and defend that vow. vow's mean nothing , if integrity is not upholded. '

She thinks her childhood was based on those, or the perception of a child lost to war and growing up believing what he was told and what he hoped. She pretended a marriage in Mereen was what she wanted for peace, and she pretended that locking her dragons had been the good thing.

Her bear, he always surprises her when he speaks like this, just all the sudden pouring his heart out to her when she tries her best to appear impassive and the silver queen they all see her as. But never Jorah, does he? Twice she exiled him, twice he had came back to her, what more could she ask for in a loyal man? They had all failed her in a way but regardless, Jorah Mormont returns, to stand beside her, like his house motto tell him to. His heart is like a bleeding wound she had ignored because her heart could not be so bare in the open, but now they are in her ancestral home, others before her had walked in this room, Princes of Dragonstone, for this was the home of the heir, not so long ago. She was born here, and emotions rush through her.

"If the thought of me kept you alive, Ser Jorah, then I command you to never stop doing such a thing." Daenerys speaks frankly, open and sharing her own thoughts. She thought him lost but here he is, back from the impossible. "And now, I cannot let you leave my side again. I will have King's Landing with you at my side." The queen approaches him then, a hand stretched to take his own into her hand, improper by many but it's not foreign to her.

if it were his choosing , he wouldn't spend a day away from her side. the love he had for daenerys , was a love he knew he would never feel for another again. one that he hadn't felt for another before her. perhaps a dream he had once had with his first wife ... but now it was no more than a distant memory. until daenerys had shined a light in his dimly lit world of shame. a life of reflecting on his crimes , convinced he couldn't , or better yet shouldn't be loved.

but denying her wasn't something he was capable of. and while he's forced himself to live with the fact that what he wants , and what's go for her ... for the realm , may be two different things. westeros didn't look kindly on people like him. the north could see her with him and see it as a slight to the man who once held order in the north. the possibilities were endless , bringing a list of possible consequences that could create problems for her in the future. his gaze looks down. chancing to reach for her hand with his own calloused one. ' the realm may not look fondly on that. ' he warns. ' you need the people on your side. '

he turned to address the princess , having only just finished preparing for his journey. a small smile graces his features. it always does whenever he's blessed by her presence. it quickly fades though , before he bows his head in reverence.
