open starter : open to anyone ( 0 / 6 ) location : marketplace in the city
in all honesty with their newly arrived guests , the castle had begun to fell a bit cramped for the monarch . she needed to get out , the gardens were not enough anymore . and so the queen had decided to venture out into the city a bit , finding herself within the markets. of course her royal guard were in tow ensuring her safety above all things . there is no rush in her step , gliding through the various stalls and with the energy of her guards , most leave space around her to allow her to pass through . the commonfolk may not know her name , but they recognize she is someone of importance . saranya stops at a stall selling trinkets , baubles , jewelry as it catches her eye . she picks up a necklace, eyeing the ruby pendant upon it , " i usually can discern if something is real or fake , but i must admit i am a bit puzzled on this one . " she says lazily to the one already at the stall , " may i ask your opinion ? "
Eryndor was a beautiful place to live, she had to give them that, and while she did miss her home she embraced this new culture - having adapted to their fashion and ways of living in the short time she had been here. And her favorite place to go? The market. To see all the different foods and attractions there was interesting to her and she truly felt at ease in the chaos of the crowd. Surprised, though, to be asked such a question, she looked to where the other was looking and raised a brow.
"May I?" she asked as she was allowed to pick it up, eyeing it a bit before turning to the other. "I mainly look for any imperfections and the color - but the real test if it scratches glass" she said. "I don't know where any is right now but that would be the best bet to test if it was real"
the other is clearly surprised that she had heard her steps though she may have been taking them softly and slowly . it as much useful and a curse to be able to hear as well as vampires could , certainly it had allowed her to survive centuries and her mother to surpass so many in life . she tilts her head at the other , trying to not be too intimidating if possible . " even stepping as quietly as you tried , i still heard you , i'm afraid . " the princess offers a polite dismal with a shake of her head , " i am simply seeing what the gardens of aureth have to offer . it is fine , if i were to truly seek personal time , then i would have not put myself in such a public place , yes ? "
"Well I'll have to try harder next time, won't I?" she jokingly asked, knowing that if the other had heard her already soft steps there'd be no possible way she'd not be able to hear her next time. "True but some don't think that far ahead," she shrugged, "oh this is my favorite flower," she said as she walked next to her. "They're called lily of the valley. They're beautiful but can also be quite deadly if ingested"
It takes Ursula a long moment to react to the interruption, eyes staring blankly at the document before her for a second before she blinks and shakes her head. Taking in a long breath, she rolls her shoulders back and straightens her back to look at Lady Azalea, an amused smile manifesting on her lips. Eyes flickering between the snacks and the lady, she snorts and points at the chair in the other side of her desk.
“I need a break anyways,” she admits, the soreness in her neck letting her know she had been hunched over for back too long. The pit of hunger on her stomach only supported that fact.
“And food too, I guess,” she says with a sly grin, before grimacing. “I fear I have been focusing too much to notice time passing.”
Tapping the scroll in front of her thoughtfully, she considers the woman before her for a moment.
“Reorganizing patrol routes,” she says finally. “I believe it best if we up their rounds, considering everything.”
"Good, because I'm not one to take no for an answer," she hummed, knowing she was far too easily swayed with words to actually live up to her words. Moving behind the other, she looked at the different routes as if she knew what they were before turning her attention back to Ursula. "The only problem is compensating them for upping their work, is it possible? They already work hard enough as it is, I'd hate for them to feel underpaid as well"

The vampires didn't scare her, in all honesty, in many ways it being a new thing that intrigued her to no end. "I wonder what they're like," she said as she looked out at the gardens. "How do I even greet a vampire without being rude?" she continued to monologue, unaware of his father's presence

She peaked just enough where her eyes met Ursula's before walking in, a tray of snacks she had baked as leverage for annoying her in hand. "I come with gifts!" she smiled, placing the tray on the table, "I hope you're not too busy to indulge me," she hummed, "what are you doing? If I can ask"

“Here,” she said as she handed the other a muffin, “it’s a recipe called baklava but I kind of tweaked it and made it into a muffin,” she beamed, excited to see them try it. She knew they were probably not interested in her hijinks but those were the best people to get opinons from. “Don’t ask how I managed to ransack a kitchen, it’s a long story,” she said with a wave of her hand

The news of the vampires made Azalea both nervous and intrigued - wanting to learn more about them but worried she may be stepping into dangerous territories she was unsure of. Yet, she tried her hardest to get to know them, only to be turned down at every turn. "Maybe I should give up," she sighed to herself, running a hand through her hair as she felt a presence near her. "Oh!" she jumped, looking over with a grin, "hello!"
open starter : open to anyone ( 0 / 6 ) location : in the gardens of the castle
they had hardly been within the grounds of the castle of house aurelis for a few days and yet the mixed reactions from the fae around them were to be expected . showing up when they thought their kind long since gone with history but to give them the answers as to why their nobility were missing and turning up with a bit of blood in their bodies . it was greedy of the rebels she felt , to seek out the fae and try and turn them in the hopes that it would make them more powerful over the blood queen, but that would never come to be . not if the princess had anything to say about it , her senses are strong as a vampire and she hears them long before the wander into her path, she turns offering a graceful nod of her head , " i'm afraid you should know you won't be able to sneak up on us ... we can hear you from far way . " she reaches out to a rose to pluck it from the stem before bringing it to her nose , " you must have questions , i would be surprised if you didn't . "
The gardens were quite beautiful if she was being honest and she had wanted to see what they offered but having seen another person there she was worried she'd interrupt their personal time. Despite being discreet, though, she was quickly found out. "Oh -" she jumped slightly, not expecting the other to come across as vividly as they had, "I honestly thought I was being stealthy enough," she admitted with an embarrassed chuckle, "I didn't want to interrupt your personal time, your highness"
