would be interesting to only have dark values from a consumed item: blood, apples, kool aid, etc. use the lightest stroke values on the face and darker values on the splashed or effected regions.

Wonder if I could use a camera to track eyes, then have the plotter go white all of them out. Or maybe just scan the image, overlay vector circles over the eyes, and then plot. Would have to nail down registration.

Love the complimentary colors in the background. I wonder if I could do an under painting , or if I would want to paint/plot after the drawing. Or just paint/plot outside the subject area.

Ruppersberg's work frequently refers to movies, television, advertising, and literature. "I think the copy is the truth too," he has explained. Here, he has transcribed Oscar Wilde's 1890 novel The Picture of Dorian Gray on twenty panels, the individual canvases evoking pages of a book. "The original premise was to conflate two forms of 'reading' and 'writing.' One involves narrative, and the other is a form of 'visual' art that is read instantly. Its presence is read all at once." Wilde's story itself ruminates on fine art, with the protagonist of the novel becoming a mysterious portrait with a metaphorical life of its own. The meticulous copying of Wilde's text speaks to Ruppersberg's appreciation for the novel while translating the written word into a work "for an audience outside the book."

just some variations from algorithm tuning during coding. I especially like the last version as it has filled areas where the paths are not joined but form enough of an arc to fill.

* remember: just comment out the fill(255) to get this effect again.

Cut circular or lenticular patterns in the text. Paths should still be plottable.
