When the iridescent spirits started their eclectic ghost-dance round the sun yesterday afternoon, I knew it was time to sit back and enjoy the theatre. Sure enough a procession of clouds that appeared to defy wind, science and logic presented their spectacular show of marvels over the next two hours, culminating in a throbbing, luminous rainbow heart at the centre of the divine kaleidoscope.

You cant buy a ticket for an event this, a stunning display that can’t be repeated, an epic background painting to the dramas we live out here on Earth. It’s a visual phenomena that always astounds and surprises me but most people never notice.

I am a confirmed iPad and computer addict.... but this is why I don’t own a smart phone to distract me. Because true beauty and meaning is always present, always here... but so often it’s found dancing on the fringe of things, just a slight wavelength away, just outside the focus of our fragmented attention and our busy, buzzy lives.
