Annoyed as heck by behaviour I see online
If you spend your time online making posts of "day x doing a thing until person notices me" whether that's a text post, a TikTok dance video, creating artwork, or anything else you are actively harassing them and it is abusive.
The options here:
* They notice you and ignore you -> you're actively harassing them they don't want to encourage that behaviour, person you "love" enough to devote this effort to will grow to resent you
* The community notices -> now other people are tagging them to look at you and acknowledge you, resulting in harassing them even more
* They block you -> you won't be able to follow them anymore
* They block you and the community becomes aware -> they experience a bunch of hate and knock on harassment for doing something reasonable
* They acknowledge your demands -> they encourage a dozen other people to do the same thing and start the cycle again, whether they do the thing or ask you to stop you got attention so other people can get attention by putting in the same type of effort
What you're doing isn't cute it's participating in rape culture, it's functionally no different from ignoring consent. And on the extremely rare occasion it's consentual behind the scenes it normalises abhorrent behaviours.
i always love when my pattern recognition is right. no kidding, i'm ALWAYS right.
