“What a wonderful idea. I’ll drive.” Ursula dangled her keys and smirked before turning on her heel and walking toward the gates.Â

“Yeah, I definitely need a night out on the town.  This place is getting a little claustrophobic.”
“What a wonderful idea. I’ll drive.” Ursula dangled her keys and smirked before turning on her heel and walking toward the gates.Â
Ursula froze mid-step at the sight in front of her, shocked at who she was seeing. Why was he here? And without the children? She instinctively reached out to the nearest circus worker and and pulled them closer to her only half-looking at them. “I hate to do this to you, but would you mind pretending that we’re dating for like ten minutes? My ex husband is right over there and I honestly don’t feel like dealing with him today… I’ll buy you some food or something, please just hurry and hold my hand or whatever. I don’t have much time.“
Who on Earth would dare to–?! Oh, it was Ursula. Parker looked at her with a  slight frown at first that immediately disappeared, pinched by the curiosity. She wouldn’t do that if it wasn’t needed. He listened to the explanation and quickly grabbed both of her hands, a charming smile on his face as he looked directly to her eyes. Good thing he was good at acting. “So… what does my queen craves to dinner tonight?”. You never knew when you would need a favor.
If there was one person Ursula really didn’t want to bring into this, it was Parker, and it was just her luck that he would be the one to help her. Instead of toying with the very obvious vulnerability that she knew he took pleasure in doing, he went along with it, and she mumbled her gratitude before slipping into character. “I do love it when you call me queen,” she joked as she pretended to think about dinner. “I think getting out of the circus for a little while would be nice, don’t you, darling?” she asked, her gaze flicking to the man that was well within earshot. If they could just sneak away without a scene...

Horatio’s eyebrows raised as he was suddenly pulled aside, and he couldn’t help but wonder what it was that had Ursula look so…shocked. “Sure, why not?” He murmured, finding it interesting to discover one of her weaknesses. He grasped her hand, interlinking their fingers for a better show.
Ursula felt relief wash over her when she realized who it was she had grabbed, thankful it was someone with a brain. “Thank you,” she breathed out as he laced their fingers together. Courtney was getting closer, and she turned to face Horatio, the largest smile taking the place of the panic from second before. Just as her ex spotted them and made a beeline in their direction, Ursula laughed heartily as though Horatio had said the most amusing thing. “Ursula? What a coincidence.” A deep voice said with faux surprise, and she couldn’t help the flash of nausea. “Courtney, what a...pleasant surprise,” she began, clearing her throat as she looked back at the ringleader, the panic in her eyes again. “We were just um...” she faltered, unable to come up with a good excuse for needing to get out of there.

de-vil-in-disguise:
“But then why would I want people to approach me? My time is valuable, as is yours I’m sure. Why would I want someone to feel as though then can talk to me?” Carolyn was the one that did the approaching. If she needed to speak with someone then she would go speak to them. She didn’t have time for people to speak to her whenever they felt like it.
“Yes, my time is valuable, but without being approachable, I wouldn’t have half the business I do. You can learn a great deal more if you allow people to come to you thank you woul by just picking and choosing where your information comes from.”
madame-ursula:
Ursula grinned at his response. “I’m glad you understand. If I could get next Tuesday and Wednesday off that would be perfect. I need at least from noon each day, so I can work the mornings if need be. But I don’t have anyone to replace me, no. There’s not a lot of people I’d trust with my things. Potions can be a little tricky to handle. I’m sure you understand.” She paused for a beat. “But if you know someone that could work, I wouldn’t mind giving them a quick rundown before I leave.”
Florian nodded few time and thought for a bit. He didn’t really know anyone who would be able to place Ursula since her job was rather unique in the whole place. “Well if you’d manage to work few hours in the mornings so we wouldn’t have to put tags on the door. Unless you are going to go somewhere further away and you can’t be here every morning. In that case I’ll figure out someone who could keep the job going while you are away.”
Ursula thought for a moment. "I think I can do the mornings. I wasn't planning on going particularly far from the circus. But if I did, I could probably ask Adam or Hiro or maybe even Anna to tend to the customers for a couple hours each day. Would you be okay with that? I mean, I'll have to talk to them first and see if one of them is free and up to the task. I could give you a call before then and let you know and you can make the call from there?"
theprince-isdrowning:
Eric laughed softly at her compliment. “Oh, now you are just being kind, ma’am. People tend to be just after the looks and the wallet, which I consider pretty unfortunate. My parents had an arranged marriage, I would like to avoid that if possible”, he explained still smiling a little. The man looked at where she was pointing. “Voodoo and potions? Sounds like something you read in a book. What kind of potions do you brew?”, he asked with a shrug. “Oh, I work at Vanity, it’s a… hmm, hard to explain, but it’s like a BDSM performance”.
Ursula frowned at his comment. “That is really unfortunate. I’m sorry you’ve got to deal with that. I’m sure you’ll find the right girl who can look past all that. But you know, maybe an arranged marriage might end up being the girl you need in your life." She laughed a little at his comment and lifted her hands, wriggling her fingers as her eyes flashed a deep golden colour with magic. "Any kind of potion you want. Love, lust, health, wealth, strength. Being a witch comes with its perks." A brow arched at the description of his show. "Now I'm curious. That's something I have got to see."
madame-ursula:
Ursula smiled and moved into the office to take a seat across from him. “I was hoping that I could maybe have a couple of personal days. I have something things that I need to do and doing them at night after I get off work isn’t really an option. Plus, I haven’t had a real day off since I got here.” She fell silent and looked at him hopefully, praying that she’d done the right thing in picking Florian to ask for this.
Florian listened intently Ursula’s words and nodded few times. “Of course. We can’t expect people to work 24/7 without any time off”, he said with a warm smile. “When would you like to have these day offs, for how long, and do you make sure there is someone to replace you at work while you are away or do you want me to find someone there?”
Ursula grinned at his response. "I'm glad you understand. If I could get next Tuesday and Wednesday off that would be perfect. I need at least from noon each day, so I can work the mornings if need be. But I don't have anyone to replace me, no. There's not a lot of people I'd trust with my things. william-charming:
William tilted his head slightly as he first let her eyes run over her and then her mobile phone. She didn’t seem to lie out of politeness and pretend everything was far better than it was, that was good. “It’d be my pleasure,” William agreed quickly and already offered his arm to her in case she wanted something to hold onto. “If you’d feel better with some water or food, please do not hesitate to tell me!”
Ursula managed a smile at his kind offer and held onto his arm loosely. She wasn’t about to pass up an opportunity to basically be doted on by a charming and handsome man. She might be independent but she wasn’t stupid. “I think a snack and some water would be wonderful, actually. Help with the dizziness.”
flynntheflirt:
“So it’s not just my pretty face then?” he grinned as spoke again “My darling Ursula, you could never intrude on my evening - only make it better” he amped up the charm unabashedly, getting to the same level she was on
“I admit that is a large part of it. You are very nice to look at.” She grinned at him in return. “Flattery will get you everywhere, handsome. Remember that.” She looked out at the other people briefly before looking back at him. “So what have you been up to?”
encxantress:
“I heard his practice was shut down. Perhaps that will be enough to make him realize the error of his ways. Though I highly doubt it.” The witch smirked as her counterpart made a vague gesture in her direction. It was incredibly possible that her reputation preceded her so far that other witches might know of her gift for vengeance. It would certainly make for interesting interactions between the two women. “Animals are more useful to everyone alive,” she countered. “I, myself, have two familiars that I adore and keep around me at all times.”
“I doubt it was well. Most people, especially men, are too stubborn--or dumb--to see when they’ve done something wrong.” That sounded sexist and she knew it, but she always saw children and men on the same playing field. Simple and immature. Ursula did know of the other woman, there had been plenty of talk about her throughout the years in their community. When she’d been younger, she never took it to heart much, but as she got older, she leaned better and made note to be wary of her should they ever cross paths. Ursula nodded her agreement. “Yes, sorry if I made it sound otherwise. Two familiars? What are they?”
