being on this app is so surreal. americans are usually the ones that learn about other places and people everywhere else already know about america because we're everywhere online. we've never been on the opposite side where other people are learning about us -- and they are horrified about our "normal"

the country america spent our whole lives trying to convince us is miserable and suffering under an oppressive government that starves everyone and controls their media? that's just projection. turns out besides like... housing prices and few available jobs, china is doing pretty great. they originally believed we were all living it up "the american dream" way and now they're all thankful they were born in china and have no idea how any of us are even alive

The inventors of insulin wanted it to be free and avaliable to everyone who needs it. The inventors invented it without a profit motive.

Then, capitalists inserted themselves as middle men in order to extract profit from it. It's now ridiculously expensive and people need it to live.

People are dying. The tool to save them exists. Capitalists hijack the lifesaving tool and hold it for ransom. Because of that, people die.

Meet Lilith!

She's a 6'4" Half-Orc Tiefling born and raised in Hell. Her mother, Decryta, is an Erinyes, and was a trusted servitor to Dispater. Her father was a Mountain Orc named Kobaan, though she has never met him and knows little about him.

She was born in the Iron City of Dis, but raised hidden away in a cave in Minauros, as her mother knew the dangers of raising a half-mortal in Baator. For years, she never left the cage, only seeing her mother and her "aunts" (a small collection of other Erinyes her mother trusted).

When her mother stopped returning, she traveled up the River of Blood and to Dis to search for her, discovering from Aunt Marektora that her mother had been captured by a Drow Warlock named Ka'atesh Faethorvir. She became enraged and demanded an audience with Dispater, who dismissed her to the Prime Material with the unenthusiastic instruction to "figure it out yourself."

She's a Level 3 Oath of Vengeance Paladin and her exclusive goal is to gain the knowledge and power necessary to destroy Ka'atesh.

Meet Kitty Purrsia, the toyger tabaxi and former exotic dancer who's currently a level 4 College of Glamour Bard.

She's 5'4", slender, and 22. She hasn't spoken to her family since she left home at 18 and had been traveling town to town as a dancer and singer until joining up with an adventuring party very recently.

She has a very thick Brooklyn accent and is always chewing on a silvervine stick, like a smoker smokes a cigarette.

Most of her backstory (though intensely developed) has not been explored yet by her party members, so it won't be explained here. Reblogs to this post will talk about the sessions I've had as her so far.
