Maddie is the reason Buck knows about Bobby. Bobby helped Maddie get her GED. They're not biologically related, but...that's her dad yo. I'm excited for it :)

“I don’t think I want to do more undercover work.” Maddie admitted ruefully. “That was too much, being away from all of you.”
“You won’t. Sue Blevins is actually trying to poach you as her replacement.” Bobby promised, mentioning the name of their tech advisor. “She heard all about what you did to get you and Buck safe. She thinks you’d make a great asset.”
Maddie’s eyes fluttered closed. She’d been awake too long, thinking too much, talking too freely. “That sounds wonderful, Dad.” she muttered as her eyes closed. She was half asleep, and didn’t even notice the title that slipped out.
It's family game night. The 118 firefighters, plus dispatchers Maddie and May, are at the house that should have been Bobby and Athena's together. Now it was just Buck's. And Athena? She was suspiciously absent. The room is filled with loud cheer, animosity a thing of the past when there's popcorn able to be thrown.
The Jenga is set up and it's May's turn to play.
She rolls her shoulders, preparing. May blushes as she feels that Ravi's got his eyes on her. "Stop staring at me to distract me!" She insists, her brown eyes flashing over at him.
"Oh I assure you," Ravi states so smoothly that May thinks she might actually have to die now. "I'm not staring at you to distract you. There are other reasons one would stare at someone as beautiful as you, May Grant-Nash."
Then the landlord slash firefighter has the audacity to wink at her! She can feel herself redden, blush down to her toes, so she closes her eyes and prays for strength. The name change had gone through post-mortem. Bobby himself had never gotten the chance to call her a Grant-Nash. But he had signed the papers to make it happen before he died — something May was still thankful for today.
The room had gotten quiet.
Too quiet.
May opened her eyes, only to see literally everyone present (excepting only Ravi, Chris and Denny) staring at her with varous stages of "are you gonna do anything about that?" written all over their faces. (Denny and Chris probably would have been staring too, if they weren't playing video games.)
Ravi was looking directly at her.
Only his face wasn't mischievous. It wasn't playful. The look on his face said… everything he was afraid to say. The small smile, the twinkle in his eyes. And yet somehow, without a word being spoken, May understood. She knew exactly what he wanted to say.
The room seems to hold its breath as she leans forward. "I'm still gonna destroy you at Jenga, Ravi Panikkar." Her voice is a sultry threat. One that should come with warning signs, blaring sirens of its own.
A snippet from the new 5+1 you just inspired, my dear @thatonemaddieanon! I give you 3 from 5 nightmares Maddie had growing up + 1 time she woke up safe.
The third notable nightmare is after she meets Doug Kendall. It's another nightmare of Daniel; nothing new there. But at sixteen, she'd thought she grew out of it. Still, Daniel's there and warning her against dating Doug. He tells her all sorts of stories about how Doug is going to hurt her. She's breathing heavily when she wakes up, and yet.... She tells herself it's just a dream. They date anyway. She's sixteen years old.

Oooh okay this is my first time writing for Charlie and Claire! I'm excited! If I don't do them justice we'll blame a learning curve XD
Okay so this is more than five sentences but um I was inspired? so. Have This.
Charlie had been working on this project for days. Claire still had no idea what it was, exactly, that he was working on, but he'd promised she would love it, so she was sure that was true. Charlie came bounding up to her, a wide smile on his face as he proclaimed, "It's ready, Claire! Come see!"
So she followed him, smiling and chuckling lightly under her breath at how excitable her boyfriend was. Ever since they shared that jar of "peanut butter" -- things had changed. The island had gotten better, calmer, a more welcoming place to Claire.
She covered her mouth in surprise when he finally led her to the place of the surprise. It was in a secluded part of the jungle, yet not too far to walk by herself in her condition. The clearing had two trees, some feet apart, and Charlie had....
He'd rigged up rope and leaves and a blanket and made her a damn hammock. "To rest your belly." Charlie played with his hands, nervously running one of them through his hair. "It looks heavy. I mean, not that you're fat--- just that!! um...." Charlie looked half panicked. Claire laughed.
"It's perfect," She assured him. "Thank you."

I want to talk about my 2026 project, a "What If" 911 au featuring heavy Madney and HenRen. This project is a love letter to Hen and Karen's backstories that 911 is severely underdeveloping. So stay tuned and ask me stuff! :)
