Did some signs for my buddy Kathee at Sophie’s Farm and Orchard. (If you live in Missoula, you may see her at the Farmer’s Market some Saturday!)
I love drawing Bluefaced Leicester sheep- they have such sweet and strange faces.

Some life drawing sketches done at the Missoula Museum of Art. Pastel.
Have a picture of my favorite non-fictional robot, BigDog. I like to think it’s on vacation, just goin’ for a hike in the woods.
If you have not seen BigDog:
It is both terrifying and awesome.
a sleepy puppy named Cricket.
another tree. Some variety of fir? I don’t really know trees.
tree study. I think it’s a maple?
Did a stint selling pumpkins at the Missoula farmer’s market. This was the stall across from us.
Went to life drawing with lissabt on Wednesday. Good to get back in the groove and break out the pastels again.
I spent the weekend pug-sitting. Pug spent most of the time me-sitting and trying to lick my face, but I managed to get in a few sketches while he slept. Little lump of nonsense dog. *pats his squishy face*
Class sketches. Fellow student and a professor.
(ballpoint pen)
The bone beast comes at night for little girls who stay up too late.
This was my final project for my illustration class. I think it came out pretty well, although the color didn’t come out quite how I liked, in part because I switched from gouache to watercolor halfway through. Rocks came out okay, though.
Zoo sketches! Top to bottom, koalas, spotted chuckwallas, Mexican beaded lizards and some kind of snake, and a rhino.
If you go to the LA Zoo on… Sunday, I think? you can pay a little extra to pet and feed the rhino (her name is Rhonda). It’s pretty cool.
More of my doofy cats, Copic marker.
When in doubt, draw cats. Ballpoint pen, except for the one that’s colored pencil.
(Ink wash, fiddled with tone/contrast in photoshop.)
