I was wondering why Netflix recommended me an Australian, surfer-themed series and when I looked up who’s behind it, I realized why:  it’s from the same people who made Dance Academy all those years ago.  And guess what:  there’s a Christian-like teen character who gets in trouble for a break in before being send to a place where they will obviously shine though they hate it at first, and where they quickly become friends with almost everyone.  Slight twist is that it’s a girl this time around.  And get this, the male lead has suffered a serious injury (!) that has almost destroyed his lifelong dream (!!), so Tara is there too.  Two episodes in, and it’s not terrible tbh
