Misc Worldbuilding:
stella observes most all of the main stories of the mainline games from a spectator perspective. the one exception to this is crown tundra dlc. i also plan for her to play as the protagonist of new pokemon snap.
my timelines are pretty vague, but i’d say this takes place after mochi mayhem but before the destruction of prism tower. there’s a lot of wiggle room though (because i don’t care)
in stella’s world, befriending legendaries is basically unheard of, much less catching them. if your oc claims to have caught multiple, stella will think that they are joking or crazy.
stella is a firm believer that legendary pokémon should not be caught!! these guys are legendary for a reason!
after a talk with the man i’m staying with (i’ll call him Piv for privacy), i decided to catch the little guy! Sprout had been itching for a playmate, and they’ve already gotten so close that i couldn’t bear to separate them.
anyways, i’ve decided to call him Charlie! Piv actually suggested the name for me and i think it suits him perfectly. Welcome to the team, Charlie!! :D
the little guy was super friendly so i managed to get a professor in the area to come take a look at him!!
she said that even if growlithe can survive in the climates because of their fire typing, it’s not an ideal climate due to some stuff in their biology, i forgot what though. Professor Sonia if you’re reading this i’m sorry i didn’t pay much attention i suck at biology,,,😭
the professor said that there was a chance that the little guy was abandoned since he doesn’t have a pack and is well behaved which makes my blood boil… how could anyone do something like that to their pokémon.
so now i need to decide to do with the little guy. he follows me around everywhere and chespin seems to like him but i’m not really sure,,, thoughts?
i found this growlithe all alone in the snow,,, he doesn’t seem all that bothered but he’s visibly shivering. should i try and take him in and get him somewhere warmer? he’s very friendly, he let me get close enough to check for tags (he has none, he might be wild)
bad news: the place i was gonna stay at didn’t get my reservation in actually.
news. i don’t know what kind yet: this guy overheard the conversation i had with the owner and offered to let me stay in the guest room of the place he’s renting with his daughter. how likely is it that i’ll get murdered in my sleep?
hopefully i’ll be fine, i don’t plan on being in there much anyways. if i never post again yall will know why 😭 this guy actually looks kinda familiar but idk who he is. am i cooked.

i once wondered if people in more cut off regions like the crown tundra are less likely to learn the common language. yes they are. i don’t know much Galarian but i’m gonna at least try and talk to people…
okok,,, i leave for the crown tundra soon! i’ve got a loose itinerary and a few ideas for lodging,,, the internet is kinda bad over there so my calls kept getting cut short, hopefully i managed to actually get my booking through…
sometimes i wonder if i should apply for blueberry academy but then i remember that briar lady teaches there. they’d have to drag me off her i hate her so much
when the whole terapagos fiasco happened last year i thought it was kinda cool until i found out she got down there by riding off the coattails of two 14 year olds?? i know i can’t say much i’m literally 16 but like,,, it’s different,,, also i have a friend that goes there and he said that one of them was mentally unstable at the time which is crazy
“oh hi i’m briar i put paldea in mortal danger and had two middle schoolers fix it” if i ever meet her it’s on sight. i mean it. i will be in the news. forget the pokémon take out your big ahh earrings and let’s fight as arceus intended.
what really sends me is that she did not get fired. nobody got fired or faced any sort of repercussions. she could have wiped out all of paldea and yet i get in more trouble for being in the park after sunset. this is insanity.
ooc// i hate briar so much. i hate her. i also don’t really like carmine but i guess i can excuse some of her actions. briar still sucks though. stella will probably get into a physical fight with her at some point because i think it’s funny.
whenever i stand still for more than a second sprout starts climbing me like a tree 😭 i’ve got him things to climb on but he ignores them and climbs me instead,,, i’m a history guy, not a biology guy, idk why he does this,,,
recently i got the privilege to see the remains of the castle the treasures destroyed after they were awakened and it was amazing!! Contrary to popular belief, I really do think that the end of Paldea’s Empire is correlated to that event. There’s an excellent paper by Professor Raifort about this subject if anyone wants to look at it,,,
There’s also a popular theory that the merchant was actually a spy from a neighboring country who let the emperor buy the treasures fully knowing of their curse, but I personally think that that’s ridiculous. While the Paldean Empire and its neighbors (which would later be absorbed into the Paldea we know today) were at war when the castle was destroyed, and had a plausible reason to sabotage the empire, anyone smart enough to know that the treasures were capable of leveling empires would also be smart enough to know that neighboring nations wouldn’t be safe either. That’s just how powerful these guys are.
So powerful, in fact, Sprout was out of his pokéball when we were at the ruins, and he felt the effects of Ruination. He felt lingering effects from a move that was casted over a thousand years ago!! I couldn’t make this up if i tried!!
Bottom line: Don’t mess with the Treasures of Ruin. thanks for the ask juliana :D
hehe i’m planning a trip to the crown tundra!! i’m so excited, there are so many cool legends that take place there…
fun fact, did you guys know it used to be called the crown plains? yeah research proves that the ground used to be super fertile and the weather was really nice! but like after a few hundred years it started to get cold again… i wanna figure out what happened so bad aaaaa
