Backstory:

Liam Everhart was another one of Dani’s closest friends and, like her, secretly a half-demon hiding beneath the appearance of an ordinary human. Unlike most demon hunters, Liam was shy, gentle, softhearted, and deeply compassionate, though he possessed exceptional talent as a gunslinger and sniper. Among his friends, he was also secretly known for loving BL and GL manga, something that often left him embarrassingly flustered whenever discovered. As a child, Liam was raised by his grandfather Richard and grand-uncle Stephen, who frequently gave him blood transfusions while claiming he suffered from leukemia. Because he was young, Liam believed them, though he never understood where the blood truly came from, as neither of them ever donated directly. Whenever he questioned Simon, Stephen’s son, he was given the same explanation. Shortly after Liam’s twelfth birthday, tragedy struck when cultists attacked Stephen’s laboratory, destroying the entire facility. Richard and Stephen sacrificed themselves protecting Liam, leaving Simon to take custody of the devastated boy. While grieving in the ruins, Liam discovered a mysterious box and remembered Richard’s final words telling him to open it when the time came. Inside were photographs of a boy identical to him, and the moment Liam touched them, painful memories awakened. He remembered that in a previous life, he had been Logan, a half-demon child born from Helena and a demon named Kevin. Helena had fallen in love with Kevin believing he was human, but after discovering his demonic nature, she was manipulated by her family, a cult called the Briars serving Arius, into betraying him while pregnant. Logan was born and imprisoned by the Briars, who viewed half-demons as abominations, and for ten years endured constant torture within a cell, never understanding love because cruelty was all he knew. The only person who cared for him was Richard, who remained unaware of the Briars’ true intentions until Logan died from the abuse. Overcome with guilt, Richard sought out Kevin, who had survived Helena’s betrayal, and together they made a desperate pact to reincarnate Logan so he could have a second chance at life. The ritual succeeded, but fate cruelly rebirthed Logan as Helena’s son again, this time fathered by Cassian, leader of the Briars and the man responsible for Logan’s suffering. Richard immediately escaped with the reincarnated child, while Kevin sacrificed himself protecting them so they could flee. To hide his identity, Richard renamed him Liam Everhart and sought refuge with Stephen, a scientist who allowed them to stay after hearing the truth. Since Liam had been reborn fully human, his dormant demonic heritage needed to be restored, so Simon secretly hunted demons while Richard and Stephen used demon blood in Liam’s “transfusions” throughout childhood to slowly awaken his half-demon nature. Realizing the cultists who attacked the laboratory were the Briars who had hunted them for years, Liam confronted Simon, who finally confessed everything and tearfully admitted his mission had gone wrong, causing him to arrive too late to save Richard and Stephen. Liam never blamed him and instead asked Simon to train him as a demon hunter, quickly proving gifted with firearms. During middle school, Liam befriended a lonely boy named Travis before eventually meeting Dani, Freya, and Camilla, becoming part of their close-knit group and experiencing true friendship for the first time in both lives. After Dani’s infamous prom incident, when years of abuse finally drove her to kill her tormentors and flee, Liam chose to run away alongside them, entering the world of mercenary work and demon hunting. To his friends, Liam appeared as nothing more than a kind and timid human boy, but beneath that gentle smile hid a traumatized half-demon consumed by vengeance, and deep in his heart he knew that someday, after destroying the Briars for murdering Richard and Stephen and for torturing and killing him in his past life, he would finally reveal his true nature to the people he loved most.

Weapon:

Bellatrix – A powerful Devil Arm that takes the form of a specialized sniper rifle. Bellatrix fires highly destructive explosive rounds capable of killing any target the moment the bullet makes contact with their DNA, whether human or demon. If the bullet only strikes a limb instead of a vital area… then consider yourself incredibly lucky, because survival usually comes at the cost of losing that body part.

Fun Fact:

Liam was inspired by Percival de Rolo from The Legend of Vox Machina, but reimagined as a much shyer, gentler, and openly gay version, while still retaining his incredible marksmanship and deadly precision with firearms.

Travis Cindermane:

Backstory:

Travis Cindermane was another one of Dani’s closest friends and a werewolf descended from the powerful Warhowl Pack, a clan dedicated to protecting nature and destroying anyone who sought to exploit or ruin it. Unlike ordinary werewolf legends, the Warhowl Pack had long since made peace with humans and were widely known as guardians of the forests across America. Although they lived in a hidden village deep within the wilderness, their territory existed close enough to nearby cities that the pack had adapted to modern society and understood technology just like any ordinary human community. However, their peaceful existence came to a brutal end when a group of greedy hunters invaded their homeland, slaughtering the entire pack in order to claim their territory and resources. In a desperate attempt to save her son, Travis’s mother, Aurora, placed him on a small boat and sent him drifting down the river moments before the hunters reached her. Helpless and only ten years old, Travis was forced to watch as Aurora was murdered before his eyes, leaving him deeply traumatized by the massacre of his people. Days later, he was discovered by members of a local church and brought into an orphanage, but adjusting to human life proved difficult. The other children treated Travis like an outcast because of his aggressive behavior, unaware that much of the way he acted came from his natural werewolf instincts. Although the priests and nuns genuinely cared for him and treated him like family, Travis remained emotionally distant, still haunted by the violent deaths of his pack and unable to trust humans after what had happened. As he grew older and entered school, his anger and unresolved trauma turned him into a feared delinquent who constantly pushed others away. Most students avoided him entirely, eventually giving him the nickname “The Lone Wolf” because of his violent temper and isolated nature. Everything began to change when he entered middle school and met Liam Everhart. At first, Liam repeatedly tried to befriend him, but Travis stubbornly rejected every attempt and found Liam’s persistence incredibly irritating. Yet after witnessing Liam’s unwavering determination and genuine kindness, something inside Travis slowly began to change. For the first time since losing his family, he allowed himself to trust someone again, and the two eventually became inseparable friends. Over time, Travis quietly developed feelings for Liam, drawn not only to his appearance but also to the kindness and warmth that Travis himself had lost long ago. Through Liam, Travis eventually met Daniella Rosaline Sparda, Freya Valkyria, and Camilla Veltharion, becoming part of their growing friend group and slowly finding the sense of family he thought had died alongside the Warhowl Pack. After the horrific prom incident, when Dani finally snapped after years of suffering and fled alongside her friends, Travis chose without hesitation to leave with them and enter the dangerous world of mercenary work and demon hunting. Though Travis had long since lost his faith in humanity after witnessing humans destroy everything he loved, perhaps through the people he now called friends… he might finally learn how to trust humanity again.

Weapon:

Claudius — A powerful Devil Arm that takes the form of a spear and grants its wielder dominion over the element of earth. By driving Claudius directly into the ground, the user can unleash devastating earthquakes capable of shaking the battlefield, while also summoning massive rock formations that can either serve as defensive barriers or transform into deadly spikes designed to impale nearby enemies. Because of its destructive area of effect, anyone standing too close should react quickly and dodge immediately… otherwise, death may come by accident if you are an ally, or very much on purpose if you are an enemy.

Fun Fact:

The collar around Travis’s neck is a sealing bind created to suppress his werewolf nature and prevent him from fully transforming. Once the collar is removed, Travis becomes a fully fledged werewolf, no longer requiring the presence of a full moon to trigger the transformation. In this state, he can freely maintain his werewolf form both during the night under the moon and even beneath the light of the sun.

Their mother called them for lunch, but Dani was curious and decided to check who had been staring at her from afar. As she got closer, she saw that it was a man wearing a rabbit costume along with a formal suit. He was known as the White Rabbit, and he quietly stared at the little girl for a moment. Then he smiled and slowly reached out his hand toward her. Dani remembered what her mama had always told her about never trusting strangers, but there was something about this man that made him seem… lonely. So, she reached out and took his hand. Without warning, he led her toward a mysterious portal. It looked like he was taking her somewhere unknown, and just as Dani was about to ask where the portal led, he suddenly stepped inside while still holding her hand tightly and said…

Few Changes on Camilla's Design

I made a mistake on Camila's headband, so I kinda changed it because I just realized that too much star accessories looked a little childish for her. Thats why I decided to fix it by changing the headband into something different in order to make it a little serious, graceful and nerdy. I can't believed that this design matches Camilla the most 😭 (Camilla was even shocked about it)

Backstory:

Camilla Veltharion was one of Dani’s closest friends and a fellow half-demon. Unlike Dani, Camilla inherited shapeshifting abilities from her father. Her mother, Jane Veltharion, was a brilliant demonologist and heiress of the Veltharion family. During her research travels, Jane met a kind-hearted man named Dorian, and the two soon fell in love. When Jane was later attacked by a demon, Dorian revealed himself to be a shapeshifting demon while protecting her. Though shocked, Jane accepted him, valuing his character over his nature. Fearing persecution, she abandoned her career, married him in secret, and eventually gave birth to Camilla. From Jane, Camilla inherited exceptional intelligence, curiosity, and a passion for knowledge, while from Dorian she gained powerful shapeshifting abilities that allowed her to transform into any female animal she desired. In human form, however, she could only imitate women with a body type similar to her own. Jane warned Camilla never to reveal these abilities, explaining that humanity could be both compassionate and cruel, and that others might fear or exploit her if they discovered the truth. Shortly after Camilla’s eighth birthday, rogue scientists and mercenaries discovered the Veltharion estate and launched an attack on their mansion. Dorian fought desperately to protect his family but was overwhelmed and mortally wounded. As the estate burned around them, Camilla begged her parents to escape, but Jane chose to stay beside her dying husband. Through tears, she told Camilla that her survival was all that mattered and ordered her to run. Forced to obey, Camilla fled as the mansion was consumed by flames, never seeing her parents again. Guided by her parents’ legacy and the bond she shares with her friends, Camilla now dedicates her intelligence, strength, and abilities to protecting others, determined to ensure no one else suffers the way she and her friends once did.

Anastasia - a mechanical devil arm bow that fires elemental arrows: fire arrows explode demons like a nuclear blast, water arrows freeze then shatter demons with ice explosions, earth arrows petrify demons like Medusa, and air arrows make demons burst violently.

Backstory:

Freya Valkyria is a part-valkyrie and one of Dani's closest friends. She remembers nothing about her birth parents or the true origins of her bloodline. The only family she has ever known is her older sister, Kara, who is seven years older than her and secretly shares the same valkyrie heritage. To protect Freya from the dangers surrounding their homeland of Scadivania, Kara never revealed the truth about their origins. When Freya was still an infant, she and Kara were taken in by the Amazons of Themyscira. Growing up among the legendary warriors, Freya developed a deep admiration for their honor, courage, and sense of duty. She embraced their traditions and dreamed of becoming a great warrior herself one day. The Amazons became her family, and Themyscira became the only home she could remember. That peaceful life came to an end when Freya was seven years old. A devastating attack struck Themyscira, resulting in the deaths of nearly half of the Amazons. The tragedy shattered the world she knew. Fearing that her younger sister would be killed if she remained, Kara made the painful decision to take Freya away from the island. She brought her to an orphanage in New York and disappeared soon afterward. Freya was heartbroken. Too young to understand Kara's reasons, she believed she had been abandoned. She blamed herself for being too weak to protect her home and the people she loved. Fearful of retaliation and convinced that nobody would believe a transgender girl, Dani chose to suffer in silence. Freya's inability to help her best friend became one of her greatest regrets. After the tragic events of prom night and the fire that followed, Freya chose to stand beside Dani and their friends. Together, they entered the dangerous world of mercenary work and demon hunting. During her journeys, Freya eventually obtained Brynhildr, a powerful Devil Arm in the form of electrified gauntlets capable of manipulating lightning and, at its full power, commanding entire storms. The weapon became a reflection of her fighting spirit: fierce, relentless, and unyielding. Yet despite her strength, Freya continues to carry the guilt of failing to protect Dani during their school years. Rather than allowing that guilt to consume her, she transformed it into her greatest source of determination. She refuses to stand by while innocent people suffer and refuses to abandon those she loves. Driven by unwavering loyalty, a warrior's heart, and the values instilled in her by the Amazons, Freya has sworn to protect her family and friends no matter the cost.

Freya's interactions with Dani:

Freya and Dani share a close friendship that has endured since their days in the orphanage. Through years of hardship, loss, and countless battles, the two have developed a deep bond built on trust, loyalty, and mutual respect. As Dani's second-in-command at the Devil May Cry agency, Freya is one of the people Dani trusts most. Whenever Dani is away on a demon hunting mission or occupied with other responsibilities, she often leaves Freya in charge of the team. Although Freya can be reckless, impulsive, and aggressive in combat, Dani has complete confidence in her ability to protect their friends and make difficult decisions when necessary. Freya is also one of the agency's strongest demon hunters and is widely regarded as Dani's right-hand woman. Armed with her Devil Arm, Brynhildr, she possesses immense physical strength and devastating lightning powers capable of overwhelming even powerful demons. Her reputation among both allies and enemies is legendary, with some claiming that a single punch from Freya is enough to annihilate lesser demons instantly. Despite their occasional disagreements, particularly regarding their different views on femininity and fighting, Freya remains fiercely loyal to Dani. She has stood beside her through some of the darkest moments of their lives and would willingly risk her own life to keep her safe. To Freya, Dani is more than a friend—she is family.
