Children/preteens/teens that don’t have skin problems like dryness or acne shouldn’t use skincare. Yes, I said it. Children all over TikTok are using literal retinol and anti aging products even though they have baby-soft skin and things like retinol are for people in their late 20s or older.
These days they don’t even look up the ingredients off their creams, they just look at the “cute” design of it. Imagine not looking at the back of the product and get the wildest red and itchy skin because some of the ingredients triggered your skin/skin allergy. You don’t know if your skincare has something toxic like Phenoxyethanol or irritating like Benzyl Alcohol and the safest way if you have a skin condition is to go to a dermatologist for specific skin treatments.
Over the past years the “preppy” style took over little children in order for them to care so much about skincare products/haircare products and so on that are not specified for them. And nowadays, the number of children that are involved in these TikTok trends increases dramatically.
Also stuff like this is pretty expensive: brands like “Drunk Elephant” and “Bubble” cost so much money and I never saw a specialized dermatologist recommend them, only on TikTok as always because they are popular and overrated.
In conclusion: STOP BUYING TOXIC STUFF FOR YOUR SKIN/YOUR CHILD’S SKIN JUST BECAUSE IT’S TRENDING ON SOCIAL MEDIA.
Also I will soon talk about children that have accounts all over social media.
Spread the word! I don’t care if I’m not blowing up here on Tumblr, things like these needs to be discussed, check my page for more information about important topics that need to be talked about!
