To celebrate an instagram milestone, I'm finally trying to illustrate my CG process. This could be more detailed, but I was trying to keep it decently readable for other platforms.

Here’s Portia! I really love her as a character so of course I had to do her next. For newbies: the AU is pretty simple: they all live at a sanctuary at a natural cove, and it’s modern times in the sense that merms are known and coveted but are now being seen as their own peoples, hence Portia’s work in advocacy.

Well, do I have a pitch for you~
I would like to conduct a test to see how many of you lovely individuals who fall under those criteria would be interested in partaking in an rp server of around 10-15 others from the same demographic.
I am indeed looking for more individuals to play as canon characters as opposed to ONLY OCs, but that’s not to say OCs aren’t welcome because my shameless self is having my own in this server. You can double as an OC and canon character combo, just make sure you are up to being both at once. I don’t need anyone overworking themselves or playing roles they’re no longer very keen on doing anymore.
There will be a non-intensive application for those applying for OCs but that’s more so for me to get to know a bit about your lovely brain child beforehand. (It’ll be basic info like name, a little backstory, personality, age, etc)
For canon characters, I might only ask for a mini excerpt (like 3-5 complete sentences) of writing as that character in reaction to a prompt like: Volta ate the last bit of your favorite dish on the banquet table. She’s asking for forgiveness, what do you do? This is just for me to make sure you’re not playing them as TOO OOC.

Now, to be upfront, I’m not actually that confident in the details of how hair is shaded in the Arcana. While I get the gist, I’m less good with the precise shapes of it.
For reference, Muriel, Nadia, and some of Julian’s wigs are good places to find how they shade long, straight hair. I’d look at the sort of shapes they use at certain edges (which I need to practice). I’d also try to reference real hair and see how light reflects on it.

-It’s rare you two have conflict because of how close of a bond you guys have, and so when you snapped at them seemingly out of no where it took him by surprise
-Would definitely be taken aback because he honestly didn’t expect this
-He would honestly understand that you didn’t mean to snap at them and that it was probably due to stress or some other happen stance
-They would try to give your space if something was bothering you and you needed some alone time to decompress
-But if it was just a heat of the moment type situation he would assure you that they weren’t upset with you for snapping at them

-Okay he wasn’t expecting you to snap at him but in reality he most likely had it coming
-Poor guy would probably cry, thinking he did something super wrong to upset you
-He would blame himself for you getting upset and would be really harsh on himself
-It would take awhile for you to convince him that you did’t mean to snap at him and he has nothing to worry about and everything is really okay
-Even after he would still be extra careful to try and not get on your nerves like last time
~Nadia~
-She could tell the energy was getting a little tense before hand and so thought it wise to keep an eye on you in case something happened
-When you did snap at her she was completely calm and didn’t retaliate
-She can definitely understand what it is like to accidentally snap at someone, being prone to it herself
-She would take a step back from the situation and give you some space for you to have a breather
-Would totally be willing to forget the situation ever happened if it would make you feel better

-You hardly ever snap at him so this was pretty new territory for him
-He really isn’t the best with these scenarios but he knows you and your personality like the back of his hand and so he didn’t think much of it because he knew you didn’t mean it
-Would do his best to comfort you in silence or give you space depending on what you needed
-If you needed space he would go outside and feed the chickens until you are ready to talk if something is bothering you
-Would listen to you rant if something else was going on that made you snap and loose control

-She would not have seen this coming and was probably talking your ear off when you ended up snapping at her to be quiet
-She ~like her brother~ would probably cry but would try and hold it back a bit, but that didn’t really work
~She would profusely apologize for if she did anything wrong
-Would honestly not be able to give you space because she would automatically assume something was wrong because it isn’t like you to snap at her
-She would be understanding of your emotions in the moment giving her undeniable empathy

-If you snapped at him it really wouldn’t go well for the either of you
-He would immediately snap back without thinking twice to as if that was a smart or good decision to make as a partner
-Depending on how confrontational you are this could potentially lead to a full fight
-Even if it did end in a fight, Lucio’s need for attention would overcome his pride and would try and make it up to you
-He would apologize and try and see if there was anything he could do to make you feel better or less stressed no matter the expense
