sorry, depression and my abusive ex rearing up to bother me again has been really kicking my ass for a few weeks.  I’m gonna do the couple replies I owe and then get another starter call out!

Sorry I haven’t been on in a bit— my workplace went out of business as a direct result of COVID. I had another job lined up at a place nearby, so I wasn’t looking for or applying other places ... that was a month ago when I was told I had that job as soon as my current one shut down. After a week of the woman who hired me ghosting my calls, she finally told me she decided not to hire me.

practices the rpc needs to Collectively Get Back Into:

commenting on peoples’ posts, threads, art, graphics, etc. just telling them that you see it and that it looks good / is entertaining / etc.  –  because content creators can’t read your mind and  as nice as it’d be for us to always serve ourselves with our work  …  realistically we will lose motivation to continue creating without some kind of support.  if you like something then say so !!

sending each other’s muses messages about muses they’re talking to or characters from their canon and just generally getting actively involved in the narratives other people create  &  encouraging those people to discuss them

asking people random questions about their characters without fear that it’s too outlandish, provided the question isn’t invasive or rude

sending honest, heartfelt notes of positivity and making loveposts about other creators and the work they do.  not chainmail, not lazy generic shit, but real kindness, in our Own Words

drawing people fanart of their characters / ships / OCs !!  please !!  really !!  i don’t know when that  EVER  became something people grew too nervous to do !!  most people  ADORE  it.  even if it’s just fucking stick figures, man, i  PROMISE  you that taking the time and putting in the effort to show someone that the work they do inspired the work you do will make their whole fucking day

        𝐒𝐇𝐄'𝐒 𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐃 𝐒𝐎𝐅𝐓𝐋𝐘 𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐎𝐅 her dreams with the same sort of pull waves experience towards the shore; a gentle in and out of consciousness until slowly, but surely, she’s blinking against the blue-black of her bedroom. White light streams across the floor, chasing shadows into the furthest corners of her bedroom, and it’s only then she hears the tap against her window, louder than what had initially woken her.

        The covers are folded back and she stretches with a tired yawn. One hand comes to rub at her eyes, seeking out the window—

        It’s as though she’s been doused in a tub of cold water; the shock of familiarity freezing her in place. It hasn’t been terribly long; not long enough that she could forget his face, or the sweet lullaby of his pipe music ( the very one that sits on the shelf above her desk ). But compared to all that’s happened in the absence of his presence— Nehellenia, Chaos, the galaxy’s rebirth… her saccharine sweet memories of Perle seem like a far-off dream.

                            Perle.

        Chibiusa blinks owlishly at the figure in her window. Once, twice, before her whole visage changes; contorting into a bright, sunny smile to rival the darkness. She scrambles over her various blankets and stuffed animals, thrusting the windows open with abandon. A cool, sweet air rustles the sheer curtains. ❛  Perle! You’re really here!  ❜

He flutters down into the room with the ease of second nature, wings vanishing into glittering light and then nothing, as he sets himself down on her floor, quick to throw his arms around her in an unparalled expression of delight.  She can’t imagine how much he missed her.  “ I am! “  His laughter is quiet, aware that there are others in the house and as much as he would love to say hello to them before he leaves, he doesn’t want to get her in trouble for being up so late. 

Not that Usagi is exactly a light sleeper, as he understands it ... 

A familiar blue ribbon secures a bag of sweets at his waist -- though of course, her cookies are long gone.  It was a sentimental keepsake, and he refills the bag with candies from all over the world. 

“ Sorry it’s so late ... I hope you were having good dreams ... “

Time can be an illusive construct for those who defy age -- Perle is not exempt from this.  He travels the world in a trail of sugar sweet dreams, but he never forgets her.  Her memory brings light to days when he misses his family, or finds himself lonely on his journey.  So, he can’t say for certain how much time has passed when he finds familiar streets and thinks ‘why does this look so nostalgic?’ 

He’s wandering the dark streets with patience and bare feet when it dawns on him -- this is Chibiusa’s street.  Wings of light carry him to a closed window, where he peaks inside and finds her tucked safely into bed.  A quiet night, then. 

His wings, fluttering behind him, cast prisms of light over her floor through the window.  It isn’t like him to wake someone from sweet dreams -- as he knows her surely are -- but he taps on the window with his finger, watching for her rouse from sleep.  He’s excited to see her, excited to hear what he’s missed, excited to tell her about all the candy he’s tried all over the world!  He has some with him, and he’s excited to share it with her too.  ( Her mom is gonna be mad when she’s wired on candy in the morning ... )

I’m forever like .... slightly salty about how similar helios and perle’s vibes are -- almost no one knows who perle is and i love him w my whole heart .... on the other hand I also used to write Helios and I love him v much

The creatures are a curious sight -- the glide through the air with an aura of solemn serenity.  Beautiful in their ominous duty.  He follows the soul burdened workers, who pay him no mind, to their source.  She rests in tree branches, some barrier meant to keep out evil structured for her sleep -- but he is not of the living.  A being of pure energy, light incarnate.  The power of Clow’s magic seems to give the barrier a gentle push, but there is no evil intent in him -- 

She isn’t of the living either. 

“They bring these souls to you -- to keep you living?  What are they? “

I have a lot of organization to finish up on this blog before it’s ready to write but I’m so excited to be returning to these characters I love so much.  I’ll be adding more characters as I go, I’m planning to write a couple additional characters from the same series but I don’t want the main characters I want to add like Sakura to overshadow the minor characters who I really made this blog for ... I love them with my whole heart.
