@thecursedpriestess said: “ if you can’t walk, i’m gonna have to carry you, alright? we can’t stay here. That wound isn’t healing and the less stress you put on it, the better. I’ll take you to PM. He will know what to do.” How does one begin to treat or heal a God? If she could, she would. Kikyou removed the demonic energy from the wound but it seemed the weapon used was specifically for LW.
( SETTLING DUST PROMPT )
As powerful as Ling Wen was , combat was not her specialty. She wasn’t a martial god , not unless she donned the Brocade Immortal and that had been carefully sealed and hidden away. Pain swelled through her , hot and agonizing despite how her expression seemed frozen , refusing to express her pain even as she heard the voice beside her.
“ Very well. “ She was a creature of logic , she was not some egoist that couldn’t handle lowering her pride. She was hurt , that was a fact. Trying to walk would make it worse , that was a fact. Her hand pressed over the wound to apply pressure to slow the blood flow from the wound. It’s a more unfamiliar situation to her , feeling her own warm blood coat her hands and stain her robes. It’s been many , many years since she had last felt the sensation when she so rarely left the Heavens.
But the mention of Pei Ming has her head turning slightly towards Kikyou. It was a smart decision on her part to go to the other god that she knew , regardless of if she knew the fact Ling Wen and Pei Ming were friends. The two hated by the Heavens but they had each other. He was definitely not going to be happy over this. She could imagine his reaction and words already.
Her head sinks down to rest against Kikyou’s shoulder , her eyes open and alert. Closing them , though not likely to be truly dangerous for a goddess like her , might mean falling into a sleep spell or something else. “ Suddenly all my days of not sleeping are useful. “ She mused with a singular note of humor to her voice. “ Ol’ Pei is going to make a scene , just so you’re aware. “ In words if not actions. No matter how calm about that matter Ling Wen would showcase , she didn’t doubt that he’d both fret and switch into the serious mode. And , perhaps , anger hidden behind his calm.
And she could also predict future lectures when she inevitably tried to start working before he approved of her not resting. It was a slightly humorous thought that was cut short by a flare of pain shooting through her body. “ My apologies you’ve been roped into this mess. I’ll make sure to have your robes cleaned or better ones sent after. “ Ever professional , even while injured.
