Attention all. Dorian has been moved to my newest blogĀ multiplexmusis. All of my currently active muses are there and I will continue all threads there.
OOC:
(... I have done no course work w h o o p s.
Eventually this weekend I need to do something. But it probably wonāt be tonight.
Iām still debating the pros and cons of making this a multi-muse blog/moving all of my Dragon Age muses into a multi-muse blog. Maybe just put all my characters into a multi-muse? Including my Marvel and Mass Effect characters?
I dunno guys would you still RP with me if I did that?)
OOC:
(Anyone Iāve been playing with around?)
Everyone needs young Dorian and Felix on their dashā¦Felix was Dorians best friend..and yet the game offered us so little of their pastā¦I mean, it must have felt terrible to loose your best friend while being soo sooo far away ā¦.:(
She laughed lightly at that, but then continued, just as serious as before.
āI donāt see him doing anything of the sort. Heās far tooā¦reserved.ā
āTrue, but that friend of his -- the girl, mind you -- she would have been good for him too, I bet.ā

Dorian kept Torohir close for a few more moments, giving him a gentle squeeze before pulling back. He pressed his lips to the otherās cheek gently as he pulled away, his own cheeks heating slightly as he did.Ā āI⦠may I kiss you properly?ā
That request had Torohirās face burning even more after the kiss to his cheek, his blush reaching the tips of his lowered ears. He glanced away, his appearance showing just how shy he was; however, despite this, he nodded his head, managing to say softly, āYes, Dorianā¦yes you mayā¦ā
Dorian smiled softly, reaching out to cup Torohirās cheek before leaning in to press his lips to the otherās. He closed his eyes and wrapped his free arm around Torohirās waist, gently drawing him closer.
Gladstone had been panting happily from the ear scratched, delighted in both pets and voice, but when he heard āhorribleā, āTevinterā, āAdahlenā, and ātalkingā, he gave this look. A very peculiar look. It was a sideways lookā¦. almost as if to say.
āhe wasnāt talking⦠he was staringā
Non-mabari were silly. Instead of sniffing butts and checking crotches, they did a LOT of noise-making and looking and posturing. But nothing spoke louder than smells, and Friend smelled REALLY strong when ātalkingā with Dorian. Very very strong. And his eyes werenāt looking at Dorianās eyes like non-mabari usually didā¦. or so Gladstone could make out while watching them a few times.
He was look at at his lips. Ā Oh oh! And he remembered something else! āfrustratinglyā something āstunningā something ādistractingā something āintelligentā somethingĀ āVint-shemā. Whatever that meant. Friend had been blushing a whole lot too. Silly confused friend. All he had to do was lick his face and hump him and all would be as they should be!
Gladstoneās tail started to wiggle again, like a human grinning secretly to themselves.
Dorian smiled at the Mabari, laying back on the bed and petting down his back.Ā āYou, Gladstone, are devious,ā he said softly.Ā āYouāre getting me to spill all my secrets without even having to say a word.ā He fell silent for a moment before rolling to face away from the Mabari.Ā ā... Sometimes I wish that Fatherās blood magic ritual had worked. That heād been able to fix me, make me normal.ā
Yas. Story time. Gladstone rose his big head and placed it firmly upon Dorianās thighs, his tail reeving back up to the quickly it previously was. He whined excitedly, ready for what tale he would hear. He may⦠or may not remember it later, but non-mabari sounded so nice when they told story. āRuff!ā
Dorian forced a smile. He buried his face in the Mabariās fur and took a deep breath, nose wrinkling when he realized what he was smelling.Ā āWhere shall I start? Shall I start with my first experiences with the Circles in Tevinter? No, thatās too far back. Maybe Iāll start with my fatherās disapproval of my lifestyle. You see, I like men. As in, I only date men, and I only sleep with men. My father⦠highly disapproved of that. He wanted me to fit into the neat little box he set out for me: marry the girl, have a son, carry on the family legacy. I⦠could not live that life, and so my father tried to change me. It was⦠the ritual itself hurt, of course, but knowing that my father didnāt want me as I was hurt more.
āI ran away as soon as I was able to and made my way south. I left my home, my family, my friendsā¦. everything I had ever known. I hoped I would find something worthwhile in the world. And then I heard from my friend Felix, that my former mentor, his father, and so I went to Redcliffe to help if I could. And that is how I met the Inquisitor.ā
Gladstone listened and listened and did not make one noise. His tail stopped wagging and his eyes stayed focused on Dorian. When the story was over, Gladstone whined and his cropped ears perked up Dorian had such a nice voice⦠heād like to hear more.
His tail wiggled again. When did he met Friend? Was it when he met the Inquisitor? Oh he hoped he was getting to that.
āRuff!ā he started and an actually rose up instead of laid down, large and looking on level into Dorianās face because of it.
Dorian smiled a little, scratching behind the dogās ears gently.Ā āYou are good to talk to,ā he admitted.Ā āVery well, how about how I met Adahlen? I believe it was the same time I met the Inquisitor, though we did not speak until after, when we got to Haven. It was... nice, to have someone talk to me rather than just assume I was terrible because Iām from Tevinter.ā

āYes, spirit healers are in short supply as of late,ā Dorian replied, smiling softly at Anders.Ā āWhy donāt you go ahead and get dressed, unless youād rather sleep nude which, by the way, I would not complain about.ā He chuckled softly and set out his bedroll.Ā āOh, Maker, I need to get you something to sleep on.ā
Anders nodded and licked his lipsĀ āMm..well I always used to sleep naked and if you donāt mind..ā he looked over his shoulder at him a small blush on Andersās cheeks. He looked away and bit his lower lip, swallowing Dorian was a very handsome man and Anders was having problems keeping his eyes off him.
Dorian grabbed a blanket and smiled softly at the other mage.Ā āSee something you like?ā he teased in a soft voice as he handed the blanket over.Ā āI must say, you have excellent taste.ā
āYouāre one to talk, Dorianā¦ā she grumbled, yet the tiniest of smirks pulled at the corner of her mouth.Ā
Itās true she was mostly joking about keeping the novels from him. Cassandra might not admit it, but she really wanted someone to talk to about them.Ā
āDetails, details.ā Dorian grinned at her and leaned against a wall.
āSo, dear Seeker, shall we discuss the good and the bad of the book? I, for one, was intrigued by the lead maleās romance prospects.ā
āPlease.ā
āNo, thereās nothing to be discussed. There was but one interest that was perfect for him. If only he could see it!ā
āI have to say, I would have hoped for something more... forbidden for him. Perhaps it is simply in my nature to see things that way, hmm?ā
Stuff, ranting and general upset not under a cut because people need to read this.
For the past few days, Iāve been posting a lot of ooc stuff and while I said that I would stop, I donāt see why I should. The DA fandom has a huge problem with putting pressure on people, only to then blame the individual RPer/mun when things donāt go as the fandom expect they should.
Iām tired of being held to standards I donāt even know exist. Iām tired of people not even replying to my messages because the mun of the blog thinks theyāre too ~*popular*~ to even think about me, since Iām so small and so fucking shit. Yeah, I donāt have thousands of followers, but that doesnāt make you any better than me.
The DA fandom also has a huge problem with being incredibly clique-y. People have RP āgroupsā and Maker forbid if you try to RP with someone in an RP group; youāll be shot down faster than you can even apologise, making you feel bloody terrible for even existing.
I find it incredibly hard to make friends anyway, but with the way the DA fandom police who can be friends with who, and with people thinking theyāre too popular to even talk to me, I feel incredibly ostracised in a place where I should feel happy because itās my hobby.
Itās been said before, but because people donāt seem to take any notice, Iāll say it again; the DA fandom need to check themselves and bring themselves down a peg or two. Youāre not superior, youāre not better, and youāre definitely not nice people. Iām lucky that Iāve found a few good people that genuinely care, but the majority of people have simply ignored me, or even told me not to talk to them again, like some kind of jumped up celebrity.
Iām tired of being told Iām not good enough, or that Iām manipulating people, or that my Inquisitor is a Mary Sue, or that my Inquisitor isnāt canon enough because heās scared of the Breach. Iām tired of being told what I can and canāt do with my own character, because Iām copying someone elseās idea, or my ideas arenāt original enough, or that my headcanons for Ishall are too similar to someone elseās.
Iām tired of the DA fandom and Iāve toyed with the idea of deleting this blog so many times. Check yourselves, fandom. Youāre not superior, in anyway. Youāre one of the worst fandoms Iāve ever been in, mostly due to your treatment of the ālittle guysā in the fandom. If someone isnāt an RP blog with thousands of followers, or a well known artist or writer, you donāt want to even know about them.
Fuck you, DA fandom. Fuck you for making me, and hundreds of others, feel inadequate, simply for existing.
āOf course I mean it!ā Dorian pulled Torohir into his arms, holding him close for a few moments.Ā āYou mean so much to me, Torohir. I donāt know what I would do without you.ā He closed his eyes and hoped desperately that the other wouldnāt push him away.
Torohirās face reddened a bit at being held closely by the mage. However, the words the man said proved to ease his slightly rattled nerves, yet they made his chest constrict in a manner he hadnāt felt in some time as well; his expression turning grateful, surprised, and sad all at once.
Shyly, he returned the contact and leaned closer to the Altus, ears giving the smallest flutter, Ā āI donātā¦ā he swallowed around the lump that had suddenly appeared in his throat, āI donāt know what to say, Dorianā¦"
Dorian kept Torohir close for a few more moments, giving him a gentle squeeze before pulling back. He pressed his lips to the otherās cheek gently as he pulled away, his own cheeks heating slightly as he did.Ā āI... may I kiss you properly?ā
āYouāre one to talk, Dorianā¦ā she grumbled, yet the tiniest of smirks pulled at the corner of her mouth.Ā
Itās true she was mostly joking about keeping the novels from him. Cassandra might not admit it, but she really wanted someone to talk to about them.Ā

Aveline: No. Hawke: Would you like to share the problem with me? Aveline: ā¦No. Hawke: Sometimes two heads are better than one. Aveline: Yes, but not when one of them is yours.

And then I heard from my friend Felix, that my former mentor, his father, and so I went to Redcliffe to help if I could. And that is how I met the Inquisitor.ā
Gladstoneās tail wiggled a bit harder and he ruffed, as if in agreement. He was not sure whether or not Dorian meant the Inquisitor, or Friend, but he missed Friend a whole lot. He looked up at Dorian and tilted his head. Who did the man like moreā the Inquisitor, or Friend?
Dorian stared at the dog.Ā ā Adahlen, I mean,ā he clarified, looking away again after a moment.Ā āHe is⦠easy to talk with and has been a good friend to me since I got here.ā
Gladstone slightly crawled closer to Dorian when the man moved to look away, ruffing again. He sensed a story afoot. Adahlen told good stories, his voice nice. Did Dorian have a story too? About how much he liked Friend? He hoped so, Dorianās voice was even more nice than Friendās. His tail still wiggled but it was more subtle.
His settled his head right next to Dorianās thigh, eyes cast right up at the non-mabari. āRooooorā¦. rowwrrowrā¦.ā
Dorian smiled a little at the Mabari. He let his hand smooth the fur beneath his hand and turned his eyes back to the large dog.Ā āYou seem to know exactly what Iām saying. And you also have a very good way of getting me to want to tell you everything about myself and how I got to be in the Inquisition.ā He let out a heavy sigh, rubbing his face tiredly with a hand.Ā āPerhaps I could tell you. It isnāt like you can tell all of Skyhold my business.ā
