Dahlia was sitting by the bar, newspaper open with the terrible news, nursing her drink with satisfaction. Humans were worse than the supernatural but death was death and she enjoyed it in whatever capacity it was given to her. “People keep waiting for the rapture but when bodies begin to pile up, it’s suddenly chaos.” She was speaking out loud but it wasn’t directed towards anyone in particular, it was small talk for whoever took the bullet.
HER FINGERS PEELED OPEN THE PEANUTS LAYING IN THE BAR, but they went untouched. all anyone could talk about was the most recent murder in a string of murders. the mayor was getting panicked, the press kept calling – for the first time in her seven years as the mayor’s assistant, siobhan was stressed. the comment from dahlia made the corners of her lips quirk up, the blonde resisting the urge to laugh. “ everyone wants the rapture, but nobody wants to witness it. “
Laurel was walking around, cup of coffee in hand, she handed it over to the person, that’s when her eyes caught what they were reading, she had to stop seeing that around. Her hands she shaking and she lost her gripping and the coffee went everywhere. “Oh god,” she said. “Let me get you another. That’s completely my fault.”
THE NEWSPAPER IN HER HANDS WERE SOAKED, thankfully, instead of her clothes. a frustrated, yet seemingly sweet smile crossed siobhan’s lips and she looked up at the barista in front of her. she’d remember her face – she remembered most people faces, but hers, she’d remember. “ no, it’s no problem, “ she lied smoothly. “ if you had gotten my clothes, i would’ve been out for blood. “ she joked. her hands rolled up the soaked newspaper, looking around for the nearest trashcan. “ do me a favor and toss this? “
Small antique shops were always a mixed bag. Sometimes you’d walk in and it’d all be stuff even the most tasteless of grandmas wouldn’t want. Other times, there’d be curiosities from floor to ceiling. Usually, they were somewhere in the middle. The one Nic found himself in today, on a street a few blocks away from the center of town, had been mostly the former but just as he was about to give up, a small painting tucked away in a dusty corner caught his eyes. He didn’t recognize the signature in the corner but whoever had created it clearly had talent. “Nice, isn’t it?” he asked, hearing footsteps behind him.
ANTIQUE SHOPS WEREN’T HER FAVORITE GATHERING PLACES, but they held valuable items for relatively low prices. she could find priceless artifacts for spells, or items people didn’t know were linked to them. visiting the shop at least once a week was routine for her, and this week was no different. the murder was ringing in everyone’s ears, but siobhan couldn’t have cared less. she’d love to see them try and murder her. hearing a familiar voice, her ears perked up. nic was someone who intrigued siobhan – nope, scratch that. his house intrigued her. it scared her, mostly, but she couldn’t show fear. “ sure, “ she agreed. “ and it’s not too bad of a price either. “ she nodded towards the price tag on the frame. “ either you take it, or i will. “
Ilyas folded the newspaper in half, letting it flop onto the table in front of him with little more than an annoyed sigh and rustle of paper. The coffee shop around him bustled with people. It was claustrophobic but after a thousand years of dealing with them, the mer had long since realized humans didn’t understand the concept. Still, the person who ended far too close to his table made his eyes narrow. “Don’t take this the wrong way–” every word dripped venom “–but you should stand a little more to the left.” Away from his table.
SHE WONDERED IF SHE’D EVER BE ABLE TO GET A CUP OF COFFEE without someone annoying her in some shape, way, or form. ilyas’ voice was like hearing nails on a chalkboard – he annoyed her to no end, but the only way to get back at him was to annoy him. an airy smile brushed her lips, her blonde hair swaying as her head turned behind her to see him sitting at the table closest to her. she was so close she could sit on it, but she wouldn’t bother getting that close to him. “ don’t take this the wrong way, “ she repeated. “ but i don’t think i’m gonna be moving anytime soon. “ she paused. “ sorry. “
so if i did my math right, i’m at work while this opens for both plotting and interactions so here i am, breaking the rules by posting this and hoping the formatting isn’t too messed up. anyway, i’m g, i’m excited for this and i’m excited for my brand new muse ! i hope you all enjoy her she’s a bit of a whirlwind.
have you heard ( YOU SHOULD SEE ME IN A CROWN ) by ( BILLIE EILISH )? it reminds me of ( SIOBHAN SOTI ), the ( MAGNATE WITCH ) that looks a lot like ( LILY JAMES ). they identify as ( PANSEXUAL ) and ( CISFENALE ), preferring to use ( SHE/HER ) pronouns. i know they are ( TWENTY EIGHT ) and work as a ( MAYOR’S ASSITANT ). i hear they are ( SUBTLE ) and ( DEVIOUS ). i hope they survive. ( g / nineteen / cst / she/her / yes / blackweed coven )
she was pretty much born and raised in anchorage. she was born to a waitress mother who had a one night stand with a sailor and wanted to love siobhan, but couldn’t. siobhan was instead, raised by her strict and religious grandmother – aoive – who was from ireland and had an accent so thick most people couldn’t understand her.
aoive was the one who named siobhan and raised her to be a catholic school going girl who was taught to pinch a penny between her knees to keep the boys out. either way, she definitely didn’t end up the way her grandmother wanted to.
in junior high, siobhan fell into the popular crowd. it was exhilarating for her, to be on top and known and to have the halls part for her. her friends, a group of girls, turned out to be witches – or so they thought. they weren’t actually witches, but they liked to pretend to do spells to bring eternal beauty and popularity and silly things like that.
except siobhan liked it. she loved the spells and the rituals and the adrenaline that pumped through her veins. as her friends outgrew it, she fell deeper into it. she got into contact with the old magnate of the blackweed coven when she was fourteen and begged her to train her.
luckily for her, the old magnate agreed, stating that “siobhan had exceeding potential to become someone great” – whatever that meant. all the young girl knew was that magic was real.
why did she choose black magic over light? simple – the rush. she loved that she could reap more benefits and could do more things with black magic. everything she wanted she could have with one simple spell and she wouldn’t have to pay the consequcnes – someone else would.
she trained under the old magnate for a decade until she was twenty-four. by that time she had graduated high school and college and had grown to become a powerful dark witch. her magic life was kept under wraps, her image staying as a sweet girl next door to the unaware mortals. she had taken up a job as the mayor’s assistant, subtly inserting herself into the town meetings and dire situations and meetings.
when she was twenty-five, she organized a coup to get rid of the magnate that trained her. she wasn’t doing a bad job or anything, siobhan just wanted to be in power. she wanted the label and to be in charge. the thought of. leading the coven gave her excitement unlike anything else and she seized the opportunity when it presented itself.
she’s run the coven for three years now without a hitch. she runs with a subtle iron fist, with passive aggressive rules and remarks, along with deadly threats handed with a smile and backhanded compliments. siobhan constantly reminds her witches of her power and how she took down the previous magnate at a young age to remind them what she can do if they try to backdoor her.
since the spread of the deadpool, she’s only gotten more bold. it pisses her off more than she can say or display and she wanted nothing more than to wring the neck of the benefactor’s neck and all the hunters involved.
which kinda brings us to now, where she’s confident that there’s a price on her head, but she doesn’t care. she’s cocky and she’s pissed off and she wants to fight everyone – with a smile on her face while she collects hair so she can curse you, of course.
SORRY THAT GOT SO LONG BUT PLS HMU TO PLOT I LOVE PLOTTING!! wc’s include:
