"What happened to you, miss Elegg?"
"Huh? Oh just- doing some light repairs." She had a soldering tool in one hand with her arm taken apart on the table. She had sustained some serious battle damage during her last reconnaissance mission.
Thankfully she was still in one piece; mostly. She had lost her hand and part of her forearm due to debris, "It's a lot less painful than it looks, I promise.
"Uh... I would hope so. If my arm was like that, I'd be screaming! Eh heh..." Yes, this was new to a degree.
DJ wasn't completely oblivious to the concept of Elegg's nature, but he'd be lying if he said that seeing parts of her like this every now and again didn't shock or intrigue him in one way or another.
"Is there... any way that I can help? I'd think it isn't exactly a walk in the park like that."

Jade had been trying to fall asleep for a few hours and had finally given up. She was on her way to go work in the garden when DJ spotted her.
DJ had been looking at something on his phone when Jade had made her way out towards the garden. He always thought of himself as a night owl, but with his abilities, he really could be awake at any time of day if he chose to.
He stood up and put his phone away as he saw Jade leaving the bedroom in the middle of the night. It looked as though she was going to the garden...?
"Hey... You alright?"
Jade jumped slightly when DJ called out to her. She hadn't expected him to still be awake at this hour. She turned towards him with a tired smile.
"Hey. I couldn't sleep. What are you still doing up?"
DJ only shrugged when she mentioned him still being awake.
"Just... awake. I'm more of a night person, anyway."
He walked up to her, gently wrapping his arms around her shoulders in a gentle hug.
"Something bothering you? Or just... can't sleep?"
[quiet room]
Jade lets out a sigh of relief as DJ dims the lights in the room. "Thanks."
"Of course. You look like you could use some quiet."
DJ smiled as he moved to close the blinds of the windows as well to make sure it was properly dim in the room.
"Would you like anything else?"
She frowns and massages her temples.
"Do you have any Excedrin?"
"Is that your preference? Mine's Advil. Heh."
It took him only a few moments to go to the kitchen and return with the bottle of Excedrin and a cup of ice water for her.
