I am currently out of the country for international education which lead to pillow shipping is completely relied on my friend from within Vietnam. Hi! What are your thoughts on Akira's name being changed in the anime?

I like it! People making fun of the name, I’m really sad for you know nothing about East Asian culture.

In Eastern culture the Lotus (Ren) symbolises purity and a calm personality. Also rebirth because the lotus is a beautiful flower that grows from mud.

雨宮 is a very pretty last name. It’s translated to rain palace but palace really just means shrine.

Also…

Akechi saying “Ren…” in his soft voice makes it top notch.

Ah yes, it takes a little getting used to.

Edit: In the stream the guests were commenting how only a pretty guy like Joker would be allowed to have such a name. So it certainly is unusual and evokes a very “ikemen” image XD

Advice for Artists

Okay, it’s been a while since I logged in to tumblr. I got kicked from my old apartment and was busy moving to a new one. But for now everything is ok (I guess) after I worked my ass out doing a lot of commissions haha. And first, let’s me told you guys my story. 

To all new artist who are starting to do commission, please stick to your policy. I learnt from my mistake, I was so optimistic since it was an order from someone a nice regular of mine introduces, and when the product was 90% completed, I was ditched (yay).  Take it from me and I advise you, whether it's a regular or a stranger, always make at least 30-50% deposit first. Double check the requirement or better yet screencap customer's requests in order to protect yourself and maintain fairness in business .

And my client accused me for threatening them after I talked about policy. After facing the fact that they were no longer in need of my service, I just politely asked them to not put my artwork under any type of commerial uses because my work was literally ripped off by a ex-customer and used to print and sell before. When I stated myself clearly like that, the client said it's not worth the use so I don't have to worry. The point is, it was a complete contrast to what they said in the first place, telling me that print “nailed the artstyle” and I only have to fix the pose a little bit. I’m not trying to badmouthing my client or something but it’s kinda funny lol
