Writer Prompt

Okay… so this is a bit long.

She walks down the ancient streets of the city. It’s her vacation and she chose to spend it in a place where she feels nearest to history.

As she crosses the fountain park in front of the the cathedral- it may have been just her imagination- someone calls out;

“HEY!”

(And she never knows that years after that moment will make a difference)

She looks back. Well, more like swished back.

The young man smiles… he asses the picture in the screen of his DSLR. He looks up to meet her queering stare.

He gives her a smile. Not the picture of her… but HER.

“Beautiful,” he says.

And with that, he jogs off to the direction of the crowd.
