I’m back!

Names have been changed, progress has been made. Work is ensuing.

For all those who don’t know, Heartstrings is now on youtube. It’s a film that took roughly a year and a half to make and has been making it’s way towards the festivals which makes submitting it online tricky. But it’s finally here!

If you have a few minutes please, PLEASE take some time to watch it. It was an intense labor of love and took so much effort and energy. Thank you.

Update the continued story...

So, haven’t seen much art from me in a while have you? Sorry about that I have been extremely overwhelmed and took a much needed sabbatical from social media for the most part.  So where have I been?  Working mostly. I finally got a job at a coffee shop as a barista working part time. Is it enough to cover my bills? Eh. But I’m slowly making it work with the help of friends and my now partner. Where else have I been? At the end of June I finished a very important personal project called ‘Hearstrings’. You all maybe saw the preview I posted a while back about it. Creatively that was taking all of my energy and it’s nice to have it off my plate and hopefully going around the festival circuit soon. More on that as it comes.  So where does that leave this art blog? Gearing up to start updating again as things settle. There was quite a bit going on and now that the dust is settling I’m looking to start posting more regular content looking forward. I’m sorry I’ve been gone. I’m sorry it all took so long. Thank you for your continued patience.

Just trying to get back into the swing of things! So I figured I would draw Kiki ah my girl. How far she’s come.

So we got Rie, my own OC and my friend Matt’s OC Seth!  We were talking and we kind of had this realization that they were both red headed bar tenders with a lot of baggage. So I was like, well... what if Seth came to the bar and hung out with Rie. But he got that stroooong resting bitchface. This was a lot of fun to work on because body language, personality, lighting. Plus... any excuse I get to draw Rie I pretty much take. He’s a treasure.

Taiga is a pretty cool dude. A cool, pretty psycho dude. He’s a firesprite but he has green fire so that’s cool. I think as a side note he’s just a fun character to draw cause he always has some level of snark/glee on his face. Like, “Hey I’m trouble come at me bro”.
