Cheese boards for Mother’s Day MMXIX.

My wife and two daughters. I glued the hardwood strips together a couple of days ago.

I made a rack for a few of the spoons I have laying around the house. The rack is made from Podocarpus wood with Lichtenburg fracking . The spoons are made of walnut, pear wood, plum (one of my favorite wood to make spoons), cottonwood, cherry, mulberry root and maybe other woods. I hope you enjoy this. The nails holding the spoons are copper horseshoe nails I got from a friend. (Thanks Jared)

My latest creation. A custom cutting board celebrating the University of Utah. This was made as part of a Raffle item in an effort to raise funds for a coworker who is Hospital following a very serious surgery. We have raised over $1500 from the Raffle items so far. We could potentially double those funds before we are done.

Update: An additional $1200 was raised at our second raffle. Other items were donated as well like Al`s Jerky and some really cool knives.

My coworker is retiring this week so I made him a custom walking stick.

I made my first letter opener at the request of coworker. It turned out beautiful and it works great too. Made from Almond wood I got from another coworker.

This little spoon made out of manzanita wood took me about an hour and a half. I really like the way it turned out. Sanded down to 3000 grit.

A custom made spoon for Alex and Trace who just got married this summer. Made from Cherry wood with much thought and a lot of sanding. One of my favorite pieces this year.

I carved out a quick spoon out of some Plum tree. As always some very pretty wood. I added a vertical end on the handle then sanded it down to 2000 grit. Sealed with walnut oil.

Most interesting cutting board that I've done with Lichtenburg burning, and some epoxy inlay. On the back side and unusual divot in the wood that I didn't even notice until I had the board cut to shape. Cottonwood sealed with walnut oil.

I've been making several cutting boards out in the shop lately out of different woods. Ash, oak, and elm.
