The second secret was perfect in its concealment. Ronan did not say it. Ronan did not think it. He never put lyrics to the second secret, the one he kept from himself. But it still played in the background.
Ronan’s second secret was Adam Parrish.
happy birthday shelloh!

for any muse, from emma: ❝ fair warning, it does have a bitter taste. ❞
the five senses sentence starters | tw: alcohol??
CLARY LISTENED TO THE older, not much but still older, blonde warning her about the brownish drink in front of her like she was sixteen and her mother let her take a sip out of her father’s whiskey so she knows how disgusting alcohol is in hopes she will never actually try it again after this experience. A small smirk appeared on the redhead’s face as she played with the glass before she downed the drink. “Of course it does, it’s whiskey. Very cheap whiskey actually,” Clary replied with a frown as the actual taste hit her. It wasn’t whiskey causing her scrunch up her face, she was used to the bitterness, in fact she actually enjoyed it, but this specific one was disgusting. “It tastes like something you can find at the bottom of kitchen pipes.”
She was all rose and honey.

westie doesn’t say what comes to the tip of her tongue – that where she’s from, the magic there is, isn’t something girls like them could harness. unhelpful, to say the least. ❛ have you, uh … asked around? there’s others like you, i think, and i think they can use their magic. maybe they had to do something to get it back? ❜
FLEUR LOOKED UP AT the redhead before standing up and leaving the half melted candles lay around already knowing her attempts are going to be waste of time. “Actually I did, “ she answered honestly, remembering the conversation she had with her niece. “I think it’s just because I am here for a short while. Hopefully, my magic will slowly return back over the time.”
grade-a-freak·:
no way. there was no way alternate universes were a real thing. he believed in a lot of things, he’d seen a lot of things, but there’s no way that alternate universes could really be a thing. whatever was happening on this weird island, there had to be some kind of other explanation. “i’m looking for my brother. the last time i saw him, we were in trouble, and now i can’t find him, or get in touch with him.” sam was more worried about his brother than he cared to admit, he didn’t like not knowing where dean was. he almost missed when she mentioned the word magic, but he did a quick double take. “wait– magic? are you a witch?”
FLEUR WASN’T EVEN SURE what was going on herself so trying to explain it to someone completely new while she still felt like an outsider was kind of pointless but she wanted to help in any way she could because the frustration the male was probably going though was exactly what she felt when she ended up here. “Well, first off it depends if he actually remembers anything because some people here have tendency to forget everything that happened before or for example like me end up in a body they had over twenty years ago,” Fleur admitted with a shrug. For the sake of the male in front of her she hoped his brother was on the island and hopefully also with his memories. “Maybe? Partly. I mean, this place is basically like Hogwarts all over again. If only it was at least Beauxbatons, I miss it there actually,” Fleur stated, rambling as usually and drifting off into her thoughts slightly.
acvnitum·:
reyes couldn’t help but chuckle. “i think you’re the first person to ever call me a gentleman.” it was weird. he had been called a lot of things in his life - asshole, dick, murderer, dramatic - but never a gentleman. he didn’t know if he liked that or not. “really? up for a drinking contest, then?” he knew he would win, considering the amount of genetic enhancement he’d gone through, but it could be fun. he didn’t have enough fun in his life recently. “clary. nice name. i’m reyes.” his tone made it clear he wasn’t going to give her his first name.
CLARY LOOKED AT THE male with a small smirk. “Oh really?” the redhead wondered, part of her wanting to know what was the reason behind no one calling him gentleman but she wasn’t going to try her luck. “I don’t think that would be a good idea considering some of us have to go to school tomorrow,” Clary admitted with a chuckle as she tapped her bag that hid her precious gems — sketchbook and pencils or charcoal. If it was Friday and she knew there was no reason for her to wake up at unholy morning hour the next day she would be up for such challenge but she had to think about her studies from time to time. “Thank you. Sticking to the last name, huh?” Clary raised her eyebrows slightly before taking a sip of her drink. She wasn’t the one to put her nose into anyone else’s business and privacy no matter how curious she might’ve been.
ycungrenegades·:
SHE USUALLY WOULD be dining in some sort of well known restaurant. but for some reason, the strawberry blonde was in a serious mood for a milkshake. perhaps it was the continuous studying she was doing that made her crave comfort food. “why is it so hard to believe that you could be mesmerized by a milkshake?” lydia questioned, brow quirking before she realized. “i wasn’t saying mesmerized by me. god, i’m hot, but i know not everyone thinks that.”
RONAN FURROWED HIS EYEBROWS as the girl spoke up. “Do you see the color that is? It looks like a unicorn threw up into your cup honestly,” he replied, rolling his eyes. He was the last person to judge anyone for putting weirdly colored and unhealthy food or drinks into their body especially after his eating habits ever since he woke up on the island. “Okay calm down the ego trip. Saying how hot you are is an instant turn off.”
blue @ ronan ❝ trust me, you’re going to want to hear this. ❞
the five senses sentence starters | tw: n/a
WHEN RONAN FOUND OUT Blue was actually there and she remembered everything just like he did it was like a dream come true, quite literally in Ronan’s case. The two of them were a surprisingly good team, even without Gansey’s mastermind planning, as they were trying to figure out what the hell was going on and how do they get their friends’ mainly Adam’s memories back so everything can go back to the way it was back in Henrietta. Ronan decided to take up the part where he will turn the Barns all upside down until he finds something that could mean something even in the slightest way and he decided to question Adam in hopes he will remember at least something for the love of God and Blue apparently decided to the same but with Gansey.
“I’m literally ready to hear anything if it is at least a little helpful,” Ronan admitted as he sat on the couch when Blue burst through the door like a hurricane but was stopped by the mess in the house. When Ronan said he will turn the Barns upside down he meant it quite literally, like everything he said. “Earth to Sargent, will you finally tell me what exactly did you find out?” Ronan waved her hand at Blue before leaning back to the couch and waited till Blue starts talking.
for juliet, from lizzie: ❝ trust me, you’ll want to taste this. ❞
the five senses sentence starters | tw: n/a
JULIET LOOKED AT HER blonde friend quite suspiciously. The two of them worked perfectly because while Juliet tamed Lizzie, Lizzie helped Juliet to try new things even though she didn’t really want to try them, like right that moment. Juliet was a picky eater, almost like a five years old child and Lizzie has managed to convince her to try some questionable foods during the time the two of them have been friends so she wasn’t really convince she will want to try whatever it was in Lizzie’s hand. However she knew that they won’t leave unless Juliet gives in and try the vibrantly pink dessert.
“Do you promise that after I try it we will go get tea?” Juliet asked with hope in her voice before she leaned closer to the blonde and took a small bite out of the dessert. She had to admit it wasn’t all bad but Juliet was more of vanilla or chocolate type of girl rather than chemically adjusted and colored diabetes on a fork kind of girl.
(for juliet) ❝ i can smell the fear on you from here. ❞
the five senses sentence starters | tw: death dying, stabbing, nightmares
IT WAS HERE ALL over again. Part of Juliet was realizing it was just a dream but the other, bigger, part of her didn’t know the difference between a dream and a reality in that very moment. However this wasn’t the first time she had had this dream. It has always started with Juliet waking up with a metallic taste in her mouth on ground the middle of the forest. Pitch clack surrounding her while the surprisingly calm smell of wood and wet ground was hanging in the air. For a single moment Juliet always felt like it isn’t so bad, no one was there except for her and maybe some small forest animals but that’s where she was wrong.
The stillness of the forest was too odd — it was too quiet there. Or that’s at least what she thought before she heard sticks cracking under the weight of someone’s body before amber yellow eyes appeared from behind one of the trees. That calming scent of forest quickly changed into the stinking reminding of rotting bodies yet she stood at one place feeling paralyzed by her own fear. There was no wonder why the person — creature — could smell her fear, Juliet herself could smell it as the silhouette was slowly getting closer. “Please,” Juliet begged, tears streaming down her porcelain cheeks as she finally moved her feet backwards only to hit the tree behind her. She knew there was no saving for her, she was at peace with the fact that whatever it was getting closer to her was about to kill her. She couldn’t do anything about that, she was helpless so she just closer her eyes and waited for the end.
Juliet didn’t even have to open her eyes to know it was right in front of her. The scent of rotting dead bodies surrounded her making her sick from the stomach in which she felt stabbing pain that made her wake up all of the sudden with her cheeks still wet from the crying. Her hand shoot towards her stomach, making sure no wound was there from a made up nightmare creature that has came to haunt her during the night several times in past. “It was just a dream.”
❝ what i saw, you’ll never believe me. ❞ - percy to juliet.
the five senses sentence starters | tw: n/a
JULIET WAS ALREADY A little skeptical about what Percy wanted to tell her, she had to admit that. However she was always there to listen, that had to count at least. Also Percy couldn’t be so sure she wouldn’t believe him, it really depended on what he wanted to tell her and considering she encountered people talking about supernatural and magic around the town she had to admit she was a little more open minded as she used to be before. She still believed in scientific explanation, maybe there was one even for whatever Percy saw.
“Oh come on, Percy! You never know,” Juliet replied with a wink and small giggle but since the serious look on Percy’s face wasn’t vanishing she guessed it was a little serious than she expected it to be. “I’ll believe you or at least I will try, I promise.”
❝ your touch. it leaves me breathless. ❞ ( @ ronan from adam! )
the five senses sentence starters | tw: n/a
ADAM’S WORDS CAUGHT RONAN off guards. He didn’t know how to process it, process everything. He shouldn’t say such things, he shouldn’t say things his Adam would say. He claimed he still had no memories of Ronan and Ronan trusted him, why would he lie about that? However it made him question a few things. It wouldn’t be Ronan if he didn’t doubt everything. For a split second a hesitation sparked up inside of him - what if Adam remembered Ronan all along but because of Ronan’s nature and an opportunity for a fresh start he pretended not to remember it? No, that was just the paranoia and vulnerability talking out of Ronan. Adam, no matter if the one here or the one in Henrietta, would never do such thing, not after what they had been through.
“You shouldn’t say that, Parrish,” Ronan breathed out as he stepped closer toward Adam, their noses almost touching. “Because when you do, it kinda makes me wanna touch you more,” he admitted, his hand gently brushing against Adam’s before he told himself fuck it and intertwined their fingers. “Goddamn it, Parrish.”
romeo @ juliet ( in canon ): ❝ wait, hear that? something is coming. ❞
the five senses sentence starters | tw: n/a
SNEAKING OUT LATE AT night made Juliet feel like she was sixteen and in one of those teen movies every girl seemed to have a weakness for. The excitement bubbled inside of her mixing up with the nervous feeling in her guts but she tried to ignore those doubts as they entered excluded area near town. Hand in hand they made their way towards the beach, the sound of waves crashing against the shore already easily heard from the distance and the salt in the air made a wide grin magically appear on Juliet’s lips lasting all the way to the sandy shore. The hesitation that was growing inside of her was long gone as she took in the whole moment - just her, the beach glowing underneath the moonlight and Romeo. O Romeo, Romeo...
However his next words brought Juliet back to the planet earth. “What do you mean? Don’t— don’t even joke like this, Romeo,” she spoke quietly, part of her more than sure he was just joking but the other part of her made Juliet move closer to him as she heard the wind howling into the night. “It’s just wind or something,” Juliet spoke, trying to convince herself there is nothing to be afraid of.
