“My dad used to read me these books when I was younger, he did it up until the day he got.. shot, and then my mom tried to but it didn’t feel right.” Carl was astonished as he looked around the great hall in griffyndor robes, he always thought he’d be a hufflepuff but the sorting hat was never wrong. “It’s just so surreal that this is real.” and he still didn’t know where his dad was, if his dad was still alive. “How did we even get here??”
“which books?” victoirie raised an eyebrow, slightly confused. “i have a feeling that a lot of things that we thought weren’t real - are.” ever since coming here, she’d been doubting a lot. she could barley tell what was real anymore.
Dear diary,
I would have written what day it was, but at this point I don’t even know if I can trust that. Today is totally insane. Suddenly everyone is trying to convince me magic is real-
The Ravenclaw’s pen came to a sudden stop as a shadow fell over her paper. She waited for a moment, allowing the object time to move before finally letting out a sigh and looking up. “You’re blocking my light.”
gabriel found himself reading a lot more than usual while he was here. he knew the world before - it was his world, just in the past, maybe a little different but still mostly the same - but this one was completely different. he found himself just wandering and reading, and ended up pausing on a particularly confusing passage. he mumbled to himself as he heard a voice, and looked over at the woman that spoke to him. “this place is literally magic. make some light.”
she had made herself as small as possible, arms clutching herself and tail around her feet. the wind blew through her hair as catra stared out beyond the tower, across the grounds and to the mountains. she was sat as close to the edge of the astronomy tower as she could get. climbing up high to be alone had always been her thing since the fright zone. this new place – it was intriguing. there was magic here and catra had even attempted and succeeded once or twice. but not amount of exciting and strange shops in the snow covered town, talking portraits or secret passage ways could make her forget. or make her not feel. she felt alone even while surrounded with people in the hall at dinner. so she had decided to be alone. but, she wasn’t alone. ears perked up at the sound of footsteps. catra growled to herself as she turned her head to look over her shoulder, searching for the other. “come out. i know you’re there.”
jinora was no stranger to heights. she loved being above the world, which was why she ended up going to the top of the astronomy tower. she hadn’t seen anyone up there before, so when she saw someone there, she froze. “i wasn’t meaning to hide.” she slowly walked up the rest of the way.
I.. had.. too much fun with this. It’s simply just an excuse to draw big puppy eyes on Gabe bc I haven’t done that in a hot minute.

“Seeing it bustling with people was a dream of mine, i’m glad i get to see it fulfilled.”
“what do you mean, it was a dream of yours?”
‘You think I can do an eldritch blast with this?” Phyrra asked, holding up her new wand. She was practicing spells nearly all day, and now she wondered if she could do one that wasn’t from this world, though she loved doing charms-it was honestly her favorite thing to do with it. “I mean, I think I can, though I don’t want to scare anyone doing it…”
“what’s an eldritch blast?” victoire raised an eyebrow. “i mean, people invent new spells all the time, but it’s risky.”
“ugh!” korra exclaimed angrily, throwing the so called wand to the ground in frustration. “this is useless.” since she didn’t have her bending, she’d been experimenting with what was given to her. but achieved nothing but a few sparks. korra looked out across the lake, wanting badly to be able to bend it. at that moment, her polarbear dog nudged her and she couldn’t help but let a smile slip on to her face as she reached up to pet her. “at least i still have you girl.” when naga looked up, alert, korra’s attention turned to the other that was near her. “she won’t hurt you,” she reassured the other, continuing to pet naga softly on her neck. “unless you’re a threat.”
“korra!” it felt weird running to korra instead of using her airbending to get there faster, but she still managed it, wrapping her arms around korra the second she was there. “you’re here! when did you get here? can you bend here?” she felt like her siblings, asking a million questions, but she’d yet to see anyone she knew here and was too excited.
what i did for love…
briar found himself just staring, maybe a bit too much. even back when he’d been in the games his mentor told him he was staring too much to really gain any popularity, but here he was, staring even more than then. the rare opportunity he wasn’t, however, he noticed a lot of people were staring too. he wondered how many people were actually familiar with this place and how many were like him, just in awe over the whole thing. after a few minutes, he noticed someone come up next to him, and he motioned to the wall of portraits he was looking at before crossing his arms again. “do you think they ever get bored?” he asked, meaning the sentient paintings that interacted with anyone that passed or stopped to talk.
jinora walked up and stood beside the man, following his gaze up towards the paintings on the wall. “i’m not sure. you could always ask them.” since they did answer back, after all.
Piper leaned against the counter of the pub and looked over the menu. In all honesty, she had no idea what over half the drinks were. She just wanted something to warm her up and help her forget about the endless snow outside. Turning to the person next to her, she raised an eyebrow. Maybe they knew more than she did. “Any suggestions?”
gabriel thought for a moment. “the butterbeer. it doesn’t actually have any alcohol in it, but it’s still pretty good. very sweet, though.”
in a flurry of green fire and smoke rose weasley appeared in the hogwarts fireplace, situated at the front of the great hall. in her arms were bags and boxes of products from both hogsmeade and diagon alley, with labels from shops such as honeydukes, zonko’s, and gambol and japes. “this,” she announced to whoever was listening, “is the best day of my life.” her words were punctuated by a smile like none she’d ever had before. she rushed to the gryffindor table, dropping her haul onto the old polished wood, separating them out. “i have been dreaming about this since i was eleven. the castle with no professors, no real rules, and easy access to hogsmeade and diagon alley with no repercussions!”
victoire looked up from her book when someone dropped supplies on the table near her, and immediately smiled when she saw who it was. “rose? is that you?” she barely remembered her extended family, but she was glad she did now that she actually found someone from it. victoire got up and ran to give rose a hug.
“ no, no, no, ” michael mumbles in the library as he reads through a book telling him about the houses of hogwarts, why everything he’s wearing has yellow accents ( not that he doesn’t look good in yellow ), and why he’s in the same god damn house as chidi anagonye. “ this has to be a mistake. no, i demand a recount. a re-sort, if you will. i am not whatever a hufflepuff is. if anything, i’m a slytherin! c’mon, who do i gotta talk to to change this ?? ”
gabriel glanced over at the obviously-irritated man, trying not to smirk. he was in the library to learn more about this place, not laugh at other people’s misery. though, to be fair, it was pretty fun to eavesdrop on the man. “i don’t think there’s a system in place to change it. just accept you’re a badger now.”
“I never thought i’d get to see Hogwarts again, especially filled with people.”
“it’s weird, isn’t it? i mean... i just remembered even being here, but it still feels so nostalgic.”
“Holy shit, dude! This is way better than football!” Stan said, soaring through the air and doing a flip before landing, stumbling a little. He’d taking to flying pretty easily, and the game wasn’t too hard to understand. Seekers were like… quarterbacks times 10.
after finding her airbending was gone, jinora had been upset - until she found the brooms. it was weird, and took some adjusting, but she easily got used to how to fly around. she didn’t really care for quidditch that much, but it gave her an excuse to be in the air, where she felt at home. “what’s football?”
boyscovt:
“This time? More like all the time. But yes, we are disgusting people, it’s great for you to realize that.” He said with a soft smile upon his lips. “Aw, shit. No embarrassing you then?” He said with a slight pout on his face. “So still mostly a primary trait of my personality. Good!”
gabriel rolled his eyes jokingly. “you’re the disgusting one. i just get dragged into your shit.” he gently bumped into jack. “no embarrassing me. now come in, it’s our turn,” gabriel grinned as he dragged jack into the haunted house.
handsbloodied:
“oh, trust me, i’m definitely not.”
“i think you are, because, as you said, my panties are not in a twist.”
