my lovely leatherman multitool, one of those shovels with a blade on the end, and a boatload of alcohol in case all is hopeless or i need fire or some shit. multi purpose tools all around !

im going to defend the shovel- the blade ones double as an axe and it could be good if for any reason i need a hole to build a fire pit or hide food from wildlife etc etc etc, plus the leatherman has two blades if i were to have the one i actually own

while yes in those specific scenarios a shovel could be useful. A rock or stick would work as well and can be used and discarded. Your shovel would be heavy and awkward to carry around.

An axe is a useful too, perhaps a hatchet would better serve though then something undoubtedly clunky.

i can reblog with the shovel pic when im home because for obvious reasons i dont have it at work HA but i realized im describing the shoveaxe wrong- its about as long as my forearm so its a little easier to lug around - an axe would be single use and uncreative 🧠

and i am perhaps wrong about the shovel BUT i dug this hole i have to stand in it now HAHA
