Kicking off the year in music, 2014. Some excellent music has already been released. I hope to compile a photo-diary of my purchases for the year.

My ears are bleeding from this new Oozing Wound record, “Retrash.” The artwork is so nostalgic of ’80s hardcore’s wry blend of ultraviolence and dark humor that it must be shared.

The record itself is no joke. This is seriously heavy sh*t, and though it clearly falls on the metal side of the hardcore fence, the assault is so refreshingly non-millennial that I would recommend it equally to punk enthusiasts, looking for a bit of good old fashioned brain rattling fun.
