Good point Anon, and I know there are others. Takes me back to 2014/15. The fans went so crazy for the two of them together in their bits of promo (and the night of the purple dress 😜) It was even encouraged. Until it wasn’t. S & C were both admittedly and proudly single, no matter what she would say later about the crooked timeline, so they didn’t have that gossipy tidbit hanging over them. But they had a series, not a romcom, an established fanbase (a good chunk of which cared more about their book-crush and story than they did about the happiness of two strangers) and had sold their naive souls to the industry as commodities, not individuals.
