holding my breath // kenny & korra
When Korra groaned, the omega all but wiggled with relief, trying to shuffling closer to her friend even though there was literally no space left between them. āIām here,ā she whispered hoarsely, waiting for Korraās eyes to flutter open. And when they did, it was like she could breathe again. She wasnāt alone, and as much as it killed her to see her friend suffering this same fate, Kenny couldnāt help but be grateful that she had someone. āI donāt kn-know, Korra. I just⦠w-woke up here, too.ā She nuzzled close, wishing she had more answers. āBut there are others h-here, too. Leo, and⦠and that really tall boy.ā Kenny hiss softly as the chains around her wrists shifted, pressed a little deeper into her charred skin. āAre you okay?ā
Korra hummed happily when Kenny shifted closer, though it came out as more of a croak. She tried to lift her arms to hug the other wolf closer but was rewarded with a sharp pain that bit into her wrists instead. The beta hissed with frustration and the sting of it. She tried moving her feet, but they were bound too. "M'fine," she lied. Korra twisted her head around, squinting at the rest of the room. The other wolves were groaning, some struggling against their restraints, and a few just coming to. This was bad. Dark eyes swept back to Kenny. "H-how are you? You hurt?"Ā
