Something I've been wanting to draw since @elvensemi's fic, Keeping Secrets, updated last. Solas on his back in the desert, staring up at Emma, "eyes glittering," lives in my head rent free, what can I say?

🌙 knight and dame ☀️

It took me a while to be ready to put this out into the world. This was my submission for the 2020 Monsters and Dames book, put together by the folks at ECCC every year. It didn’t make the cut, and that’s alright — this piece was pretty personal to me, so while it hurts a bit that it wasn’t shared, I’m also a bit grateful that this one stays mine.

It also means that I’m allowed to sell it as a print at the con this year, so I’m looking forward to having this piece out for people to see. I hope you guys like it! I tried to weave a story into this one (a craft I’d like to keep learning). It was a lot of fun!

Can you believe it’s been exactly 4 years since Trespasser was released???? Like what the heck???

Here’s a “what if” moment from when Lavellan and Solas finally speak at the end. Uploaded with a sigh for what things might have been lol.

Sometimes I just want to wallow a bit for no reason in particular, and solavellan is great for that. It’s not for everyone (and apologies to those following who are super not into this), but I like going back to the feelings that this story gave me. I hope that the next dragon age game gives us more of these kinds of experiences, whenever it comes out.

I’ve been working on this extremely slowly, in between work and other art, but I’m so proud to finally post it. The textures I figured out, like the chain mail and the fur are my favorite (and I’m heartbroken I already forgot what brush I used for the fur OTL)
