🇨🇦 Josh Liendo is the first Black Canadian to win an Olympic swimming medal.
He told me growing up he had nobody to really look up to — because nobody looked like him.
Game changer. History maker. Silver medal at the Olympics.

Happy voting day.
Remember the best voting strategy is to vote for the party you want to win.
Trying to find where I said to vote without learning who candidates in your riding are and asked for someone to explain to me how canadian elections work 🧐
If folks never vote for the party they want to win, then that party can never win. That's just how it works.
Hi! Does anyone have any info on how the bc vaccine passports are working for people who don’t have bc health care cards? I’m an out of province student at UVic so I still have my AB healthcare card and to register for the vaccine passport you need a bc healthcare card number. Thanks for any info!

From the BC Gov’ website’s page on Proof of vaccination and the BC Vaccine Card
People from other Canadian provinces or territories must show:
Provincially/territorially officially recognized vaccine record
Valid government photo ID
Out-of-province students: You can use your provincial/territorial or international proof of vaccination.
We recommend you get a BC Vaccine Card. To get a card, you have to get your immunization record added to the provincial system. Submit your information as soon as you arrive in B.C.

Watch the leaders debate Thursday with simultaneous Inuktitut, Denesuline interpretation
The leaders of Canada’s five main political parties will meet in an English-language debate on Thursday, Sept. 9, from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET. and this year, simultaneous interpretation in Inuktitut and Denesuline will be provided.
Liberal Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau, Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole, Bloc Québécois Leader Yves-François Blanchet, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh and Green Party Leader Annamie Paul will take the stage at the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, Que., overlooking Parliament Hill.
They will debate five themes: affordability, climate, COVID-19 recovery, leadership and accountability and reconciliation.
Shachi Kurl, president of the Angus Reid Institute, will moderate the debate. Several journalists will pose the questions.
Tune into the debate on CBC Radio One or watch it on CBC Television, on CBC Gem, or on YouTube.

TIL: the covid vaccine does not work (or is less effective) for transplant patients.
Just in case you needed another reason to get vaccinated and protect others.
Yeah I vote strategically. My strategy is voting for the party that I want to win the election.
Election time reminder that if you want to elect the NDP, vote NDP!
