Where did you have your most memorable Austin music experience?
femalespectator:
At Red 7, when Green Day played their secret show. I actually blew out my hearing at that one.

This was a little off of sixth street. It reminds me of leaving my past behind me and going on a new journey. :)

Everyone loves telling their stories about ACL. "Did you go the year it was dusty? Muddy?" (it's hot every year) Muse was one of the headliners and really good live.
Guero's is always good. SoCo vibe + good TexMex is always a hit with out of town friends, too.

In light of ACL coming up, this week's prompt is about music. :) When and where was your most memorable experience with music in ATX?

So, this isn't an experience that has happened YET.
This is a concert that is going to be held at Headhunters on the 17th. It's featuring 3 awesome local bands, and all proceeds go to this awesome organization called Texas 4000 that cycles from Austin to Alaska for cancer research. People in Austin might know them as the crazy kids who panhandle by Whole Foods on 5th or 6th and Lamar.
4th of July in the Barton Creek Square Mall parking lot!
If you don't want to wait at Auditorium Shores to see the fireworks on 4th of July, head to the BCSM parking lot. Tons of people but lots of fun. Tune in to 89.9 to hear the music! Can't wait til next year!

Mapping Everyone has hit 10 followers!
In just a couple of days, Mapping Everyone has gained more than 10 followers. :) Thank you for your support.
Just a reminder that the blog is run purely by submissions. That means if you have something to contribute, we'd love to see it! It can be as simple as a sentence-long text post, or something more visual like a video or photo. Even if you've already submitted, consider doing so again. This is a place for sharing experiences in Austin, and you're not limited to just one of those. :)
And spreading the word is awesome too!
