Char Dham Yatra registration 2025 will begin online , the tentative dates are 30th April for Gangotri and Yamunotri temples, while for Kedarnath temple it is 2nd of may.

Chopta Chandrashila Trek Distance
The Chopta Chandrashila Trek is a short yet rewarding trek in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand, India. The trek covers a distance of approximately 5 kilometers (one way) from Chopta to the Chandrashila summit, passing through the sacred Tungnath Temple, which is the highest Shiva temple in the world at 3,680 meters (12,073 feet). The trek starts at Chopta, a picturesque hill station often called the “Mini Switzerland of India.” The trail is well-defined and offers a mix of meadows, forests of oak and rhododendron, and panoramic mountain views. The final ascent to Chandrashila, at an altitude of 4,000 meters (13,123 feet), is steep but short, providing trekkers with a breathtaking 360-degree view of the Himalayan peaks, including Nanda Devi, Trishul, Kedar Dome, and Chaukhamba. The trek is suitable for beginners and offers an excellent blend of adventure, natural beauty, and spirituality.
The Gaumukh Tapovan Trek leading to Tapovan meadow, which also serves as a base camp for further expeditions for trekkers. This 2.5 kms trek from Gaumukh can be steep and full of rocks and boulders, but the climb is worth the effort. Tapovan is popular among trekkers for its spritual vibe as it is also home to ascetics.
Gaumukh Trek Distance
The Gaumukh Trek in Uttarakhand, India, covers a round-trip distance of approximately 46 kilometers from Gangotri to Gaumukh and back. The trek begins at the holy town of Gangotri, situated at an altitude of 3,415 meters (11,204 feet). Chopta Trek - a 3 night 4 day adventure in the Himalayas of Garhwal. The trek is graded as easy to moderate adventure suitable for beginners as well. The total walk is around 30 kms. This trek is available throughout the year , but becomes a wonderful adventure during winters offering a snowy panorama.
It offers camping at a lovely alpine lake, the deoriatal lake and the adrenalin rush of reaching the Chandrashila summit at 4000 meters offering a stunning 360 degree view of the himalayan snow peaks.
