Random thing I did about 007n7 from forsaken :P
Five months. Exactly five months since the disappearance of my light, my life, my son.
April 17th, xxxx, was the day my son, C00lkidd, disappeared...
We were playing hide-and-seek; we were playing inside the house, but staying indoors gets so boring, so I had an idea.
"Let's play outside. It'll be more fun," I said. I know it’s not a good idea for my son to leave the house—he's quite chaotic.—but I decided that, just for today, I’d give him that privilege.
We played for hours. In that moment, I felt that my choice to adopt him had been a good one. I felt something different. Genuine joy... it’s a wonderful feeling.
The game went on. C00lkidd went to hide, and I went to look for him.
I checked the easiest spots first—even knowing he probably wouldn't be there—and sure enough, he wasn't, so I moved on to other places.
"Why isn't C00lkidd hiding here?" I asked myself. Then I thought he might have hidden back inside the house, so I went to check.
I searched every corner of every room: the living room, the kitchen, my bedroom, his bedroom, the bathroom, the garage, the basement.
I panicked. I ran out of the house, shouting C00lkidd's name; I even stopped people to ask if they’d seen him anywhere, but...
I spent the entire day looking for him. I even stopped by Elliot's pizzeria, but C00lkidd wasn't there... the only thing there was Elliot, looking at me with contempt, as always.
Late in the afternoon—almost nightfall—I got home. And the conclusion of my search for C00lkidd...
Every day, I searched for C00LKidd. It was exhausting; I wasn't sleeping or eating properly—I did nothing but cry and take heavy medication to calm myself down or... just to numb myself to my own feelings.
I started putting up missing-person posters on trees, utility poles, walls, and so on.
Have you seen this boy? If so, please contact this number: xx-xxxx-xxx
His plush Drakobloxxer misses him, and so does his dad."
The words, written like a cry for help, went ignored. By everyone.
Many people would walk by, take a look, and go on with their lives—while others... were actually grateful... that he had disappeared.
The kid who caused chaos with his dad's GUI is gone... it’s wonderful! No one has to worry about the destruction anymore!
One, two, three, four, five months went by... and nothing...
I couldn't take it anymore. How could I go on living knowing my son wasn't with me? I wanted it all to end; I wanted to disappear... but I couldn't! What if I did something and C00LKidd finally showed up?
I had to keep going. But the situation was... difficult... so I had to make... a decision... I tried talking to...
IT WAS ALL IN VAIN!!! What was I thinking? I had abandoned him to look after a child! I cast him aside as if he didn't matter!
Maybe, in the end, I really deserve this.
As I stared at the phone in my hands, devoid of hope, I heard it ring.
My eyes filled with hope! I had notified them about my son's disappearance, though I thought they wouldn't do anything about it. After all, who would want to help an ex-hacker?
But that didn't matter right then. I answered the phone quickly and held the mobile to my ear, bracing myself for the news to come.
"We have news about your son."
"Y-you found him? How is he?"
"Please, come to the station so we can discuss the matter further..."
Upon arriving at the police station, the stares hit me like sharp knives.
"What is that hacker doing here?!" people likely wondered, but for the first time... I didn't care; I just wanted to know about my son!
A police officer stepped out of a room, looked at me, and walked my way.
The officer walked, and I followed, trembling slightly as I was a bit anxious.
He led me to a room and opened the door for me. I stepped inside and saw two other officers near a table; on the table lay a white cloth covering...something.. there was something underneath...
"Mr. 007n7... I am so sorry, but... your son..."
The officer pulled the cloth off and...
It was... C00lkidd... but... he was... rotting... half his skull was exposed, and the bones in his arm and leg were showing too! His body was battered, his neck twisted... he was filthy, reeking, with maggots crawling out everywhere; a black fluid was oozing out and pooling on the floor...
No... my son... is dead...
"I'm so sorry, I know this is hard... Mr. 007n7?"
The world began to feel strange; I felt the floor crumbling beneath my feet, the walls seemed ready to explode, faces were melting, everything was spinning, everything was a blur. I started sweating, trembling, feeling the urge to vomit, and weeping.
When I woke up, I was sitting in a chair with an officer beside me.
What a strange sensation... everything feels so...
The house was gray, cold, and empty.
Filth everywhere, scattered beer bottles, cigarette butts still reeking, and toys—toys that once seemed to shine but now seemed to bring only pain, despair, and longing...
Life no longer made sense, so I did what should have been done long ago.
What the admins never managed to do. What Noli never let happen. What I was most afraid of...
I grabbed the gun I had hidden on a shelf. I pressed the cold metal against my head and put my finger on the trigger.
My hands were trembling, tears were streaming down my face, and the cuts on my arms were stinging... a reminder of the failure I am...
I took a deep breath, pulled the trigger, and...
The bullet tore through my head, ripping my flesh and shattering my skull.
I fell to the floor, lying in a pool of blood that slowly grew larger. My body felt heavy; my eyes slowly closed...
My mind, usually so loud, began to go quiet. Everything seemed quieter...
As 007n7’s body relaxed onto the cold floor—using it as a bed, with a pool of blood for a pillow—a sound came from his cell phone, which lay discarded on the side table near the sofa.
A quick message from someone who had promised themselves they would protect 007n7’s lifeless body:
