"Marco!"
“Annie!” He paused. “Why are we yelling names?”
Marco let out a small groan when Annie mentioned classes. “I’ve been drowning in work. I’m working on getting an apprenticeship with a design studio and so I’ve been trying to pull a portfolio together of some of my work. It’s been…. crazy.”
Flashing a tired smile to show Annie he was okay, he motioned to the jacket. “I really like that jacket on you. The whole leather look suits you really well.” He playfully whistled, soon laughing a little. “Like, dang girl. You lookin’ hella fine!”
“Thats really great though, I hope you get the position” She liked seeing her friends happy, even if it has to come with a little stress. Looking down at the slightly over-sized jacket, she sighed and smiled slightly. “Mina got it for me. It’s a lot warmer that old winter coat I was using.” The compliments were easy to take when they were from Marco, having gotten comfortable around him quite some time ago. “So, What are you doing right now? Can you hang out for a bit?”
“I really hope so too. If I get this position, my future career is the graphic design world would be set in stone.” Marco let out a tired sigh. He had been really stressed as of late. Spending time with Annie might do him some good.
Marco nodded. “I’d love to hang for a bit. You wanna hang in my dorm or were you thinking of some place else?”
“Well, unless you want to grab Crumpets to go see Norman, your dorm is fine by me.” Annie was glad he wanted to spend time with her still after they hadn’t seen each other for a period of time. “We could play one of your video games or just watch TV. You pick today”
“Just hanging out and watching TV sounds really nice. I need some relaxing time and video games aren’t relaxing. They’re fun, but not relaxing in the slightest.” Opening his door to his dorm room, a golden blur ran out and over to Annie.
“Well I wish you ran up to greet me like that….” Marco muttered as he watched how happy his dog was.
Annie caught herself from falling over when Crumpets ran out and jumped up out of excitement of seeing Annie. She crouched down and pulled the dog into her arms to love and play with him. “Oh shush, if he hadn’t seen you in a long time, he’d probably be even more excited” standing back up, she corralled the dog back into the dorm. “Then TV it is, come on and grab a blanket”
“I’ll go grab a couple of blankets from my bed. We’ll get comfy in a giant blanket nest.” Marco trotted off to his room and grabbed a handful of blankets, pretty much all of his extra blankets from his bed. Crumpets was already on the couch and Marco smiled playfully, throwing a lightweight blanket on top of his dog. Crumpets.... well, he didn’t seem to mind. In fact, he curled up in said blanket very happily.
Marco laughed at this and started to put down the rest of the blankets. “Well, one out of three’s comfy.”
