+ When you draw someone, Regardless if the subject is in person or flashed on a screen, Little by little, you start to get to know them. If you already know them, then you start to get a clearer view of their minute details. It is ridiculous sometimes. As you glance at them from time to time, As you stare at them for every detail you need, Bit by bit, you see parts of them you never noticed before. While you scrutinize each and every contour, Every shadow on their skin, Every mark, Every wrinkle around their eyes, Even the way their lips curve up in a smile, It feels like you are sifting through the history of their lives. It is fascinating. When you've completed a sketch or a painting of them, And examine it once more, You suddenly realize that you have just discovered a new way of looking at them. And so far, of all the people I have ever sketched or drawn, I always find out the goodness in them. The real beauty that you wouldn't always see at first glance. So if someone draws a portrait of you, beware. They might recognize something about you that not everyone could notice. It would be a secret though, between the artist and the paper. 😉 #inspiration #art #sketch #portrait #colorpencil #color #paper #lianhuaprint #sketchpad #drawing #arttherapy
