How does your character perceive the County of Skingrad in this time?

“I visited Skingrad once. It was a quaint provincial town.” began Mariana, reminiscing on her visit from a year previous. There was a touch of fondness in her voice as she spoke of her time in Skingrad. “Myself and a few others from the household patronized a charming little shop that sold all manner of trinkets, children’s toys, antiques, and oddities. As lovely as the shop was, the true highlight was the carriage ride through the West Weald. The sights and smells of the passing vineyards was an absolute delight!” After a moment of reliving that past moment, the reality of her station became apparent as a forlorn appearance formed on her expression. “I am not overly familiar with the politics of Skingrad or the West Weald but it is unlikely I will ever return to Skingrad unless the Dominus conquers the land either by the quill or sword as Emperor-Regent.”
