hi, tags! i'm marie, my pronouns are she/her and i'm 21+. this is mostly a mumu blog, but i could set up a side blog if the partner feels more comfy with that. i'm back in this lovely little world after a few years away, so i kindly ask for a bit of patience with me. i'm selective and semi-open to plots, so don’t be shy about sending messages, ask memes & all that good stuff. i feel most comfortable with partners who are 21+ and i don’t have any major triggers. i’m also fine with nsfw content. i actually enjoy it! i usually write ocs, but i’m totally fine playing canon characters if that works better for our plot. i don’t have a preference when it comes to the gender of the characters i play or interact with, so everything here is open to f/m/nb/+ . as for storylines, my favorite genres are mystery, romance, horror & urban fantasy. that said, i’m open to just about anything and i love being surprised along the way. if you prefer to plot and write on discord, just tell me!!

"hold on now–" on a normal day, selene's response would've triggered the hell out of imani –– except for today... she took a deep breath, realizing that maybe just maybe, selene was onto something here. imani felt helpless in this situation, and maybe prettying up those hard truths and creating a delusion that would soon wear off wasn't the solution. "sometimes i just expect him to do right, to be a gentlemen... to be the future husband that i bring home to meet my parents... but yet, he does shit like this...it never fails." high expectations for a low minimum man? typical, imani. her glossed brims curled into a smirk as soon as selene's mention of his car came into play. "wait girl, you mean his hellcat? do you need my permission before or AFTER we catch him in the act?" imani could be a bit impulsive at times... but this? this fueled the fire.

she really did feel for her friend. selene wasn't the type to judge her, but damn, she had the urge to shake her until her thoughts sorted themselves out. since that wasn't happening anytime soon, selene made it her mission to give her a little push in the right direction. "girl, what are the odds of a man doing right? we gotta go digging for the exceptions out here, because damn…" she shook her head, sighing. "honestly, i don't need permission, but i do want a partner in crime." she winked, trying to keep a straight face and failing miserably. "but i gotta admit, catching him in the act would have a special kind of vibe." selene laughed, watching her friend closely. she wasn't trying to cause more trauma or make the situation worse. "but we ain't doing shit if it's gonna make you sad. or worse, regret it. can you promise me it'll feel right?"

plot: imani confides in Y/M about her avoidant boyfriend, whom she suspects may be lying to her. y/m gives her tough love ( and ) encourages her to get her lick back.

“i’m probably dumb for staying with him, right?” imani already knew the answer, but a part of her still hoped for a different response. however, seeing her friend’s facial expression confirmed what she suspected. “based on that look, i think i already know the answer...”

selene didn't bother to smile. the woman just arched a brow and tilted her head like she was waiting for imani freaking hear herself. "yeah," she said bluntly. "you probably are." don't get her wrong, she wasn't cruel about it, just honest. too honest. selene was not fond of prettying up hard truths, especially not for people she gave a dam about. "but, hey, you're not really dumb. maybe too innocent and optimistic, yes. it's not wrong to be hopeful, sis. but staying with him after he's nonstop playing in your face... you're gonna lose." she leaned forward, poking her friend with high hopes of tickling her. "and if he keeps lying to you, i swear i'll key his car and smile for the security cams." selene winked, and she probably meant it.
