I decided I should probably make a pinned post 😁 So, here’s a little about me and my blog :)

My name’s Bee, I’m 21 years old, and my pronouns are she//they (meaning I prefer both she/her and they/them). I’m a Virgo sun, Cancer rising, and Aries moon.

I use this blog mainly to rant and talk about things I’m interested in. So far this has just been Criminal Minds, lgbtqia+ stuff, and just whatever I feel like talking about. Here are some rules :)

The other day I heard this girl ask another girl “are you sure you’re a lesbian? Because I thought I was one but then I turned out not to be one.” Guys, you can 100% question your own sexuality, but you can’t question someone else’s. It’s not your place to do that. I’ve also had someone straight up say to me “you say you’re bisexual but I don’t think you are” why do you think you have any right to question another person’s sexuality? That’s not fair to them and you certainly aren’t gaining anything from it.

Ok I’m going to try to be nice while talking about this. So someone recently has been called out for making jokes about grooming. Many of their fans defended them by saying “I’ve been groomed and it was extremely traumatic for me, but this didn’t offend me. So it’s not offensive. And everyone makes mistakes! It’s okay.” Ok so… it’s really, really not okay.

As someone who has been groomed as well, I can say that this does offend me. Making jokes about grooming may be funny or harmless to someone else who has been through the same thing I have, but to me and a LOT of other people, hearing these jokes is genuinely triggering. Just because something doesn’t offend you doesn’t mean it isn’t offensive to other people. Our brains work differently and that’s okay. We have different trauma responses. You’re not a bad person and you’re not invalid if jokes related to your trauma don’t trigger or offend you personally, but you need to recognize that other people are triggered by that stuff and that it’s not something to joke about. And you shouldn’t defend someone who jokes about stuff like that just because it didn’t offend you personally. You don’t speak for every person who has been groomed.

I think the reason why some folks don't like season 3 or rather Joe killing Love is mostly because the tone has changed and the lens through which they view Joe has drastically changed. It is now darker and most weren't prepared for that. Joe has never been the kind of lead you ought to root for and neither is his relationship with Love. You are supposed to be uncomfortable cos it's like fiction is slipping into your reality. You are not supposed to see Joe as a misunderstood hero and neither are you supposed to root for Love cos you are supposed to see how she's never been a good person under than rich blonde white lady persona. She's not sweet, she's never been sweet. She's got so much rage to burn a fucking town down and she and Joe are the greatest fucked up beings you can ever meet. You was never a romantic thriller series but a horror-thriller disguised as one. So if you don't like the tone of season 3, don't you think it's a reflection of how much you romanticise toxicity and Joe/Love?

Part of the reason why I haven’t been active on here is because my interest in Criminal Minds has gone down a lot. I’ve been a lot more interested in Doctor Who here recently (relapsing back into my old obsession). I don’t know if I’m gonna continue posting Criminal Minds content or start posting Doctor Who content or both, or maybe just stop posting for awhile. I still have DM’s to respond to as well and I’m very busy outside of this account so I have a lot on my plate. I still like Criminal Minds, and my favorite ships are still Jelle and Jemily, but my interest in the show has just decreased a lot.
